  1. Well there is an issue if you run Crossfire with ATI cards...you get texture popping that can get annoying at times, but other wise the game is playable. Is this a graphics driver issue or game bug? The game runs fine with one X1950 Pro I have, but I also have the res turned down low when my native res is 1920x1200...

This is the strange thing...I have a Crossfire setup on my desktop system with 2 X1950 Pros, C2Duo E6600 and 4 GB Ram on Vista and the game is a total sideshow.

Yet on my CoreDuo Laptop with a X1300 and 1 GB Ram on Windows XP, it runs fine...a bit sluggish but it runs 100% then the hotrod desktop system...WTF

Try disabling SLI mode and set it to use only one video card. I am not sure how specifically to do that but I believe there is a setting in the video driver control panel. I have heard from at least one other person that had SLI configured that by using just a single card, their performance went back up to what it should be.

I'm sorry but the game runs like total crap on my Core2Duo E6600 4GB system with 2x X1950 Pros on Vista 64-bit. It runs better on my CoreDuo Laptop with only a X1300 and a GB of Ram under XP.

  5. Well looks like the Release still has the same bugs as the Demo...

When I use Catalyst 7.1 drivers, the tow.exe crashes to the desktop with windows telling me that it has stop responding.

With the Catalyst 7.4 drivers, it loads up alright, but I'm getting REALLY bad graphics corruption and my FPS are in the 1-2 range..making the game unplayable.

    Specs:

    Vista 64 bit Ultimate

    4GB RAM

    2x X1950 Pro Crossfired

    Any suggestions?

  6. Well if its the drivers causing problems..I'm left scratching my head at the moment...

I installed the demo without Catalyst control center installed (crashed all the time with version 7.3 during boot up) Game loaded fine, seemed a little on the slow side with Crossfire X1950 Pro video cards. Thought that it was a video driver issue.

Got home later that day, installed lastest Catalyst 7.4 Drivers, my CCC crashes stopped. tried ToW again...slide show..1-5 FPS.

Uninstalled 7.4 drivers just now, installed 7.1 drivers per recommendations here and now the Program crashes every time I try to launch it!

I'm re downloading it at the moment, will try a new install to see if it fixes it.

  7. I'm running into speed issues with the new Catalyst Drivers that just came out today. I when I was trying the demo out early this morning, I had everything uninstalled (video driver) due to Catalyst control center crashing after boot up with my 64-bit Version of Vista. The game ran alright.

I got home from work tonight and installed the Cat 7.4 drivers and the game is a total slideshow..and I'm getting graphic artifacts that are popping up everyonce in a while.

    Anyone else running into this?

    Specs:

    Core2Duo E6400

    4Gb Ram

2x Radeon 1950XT Pro cards running Crossfire

    Vista 64 bit Ultimate

I tried enabling and disabling the singe CPU option, didn't make any changes. i dropped my Video resolution from 1920x1200 to 1200X900 or so, no improvement there either.
