  1. QB AI is far better than in CM1; i mean yes the AI is scripted but to script it is really easy and you can make up to 5 different plans. When the game starts the AI will choose one of those 5 plans so one battle can result in 5 different battle approaches.

Usually, i am talking about CMSF here, QB have 3 plans for the AI but you might make some other AI plan in the editor to sum them up to 5 as i said above.

By the AI plan now the AI is really interesting even on the offense

  2. Really sorry to report this error:

bought and installed (download only) CMA and copy and pasted the license key in my email (the same i have in my account) but elicense shows the 501 error saying that the license key should be not registered in their server so elicense can't be sure that the key i have is a valid key, elicense tells me to wait some minutes and retry.... however it seems not to work after 3 hours.

this is the message i have "the license key might not have been registered in the license database yet"

    I read the helpdesk and i sent an email with the key i have to licensesupport at battlefront;

i even tried to install 1.01 and patch with 1.02 and 1.03 and then license but nothing, so i tried to uninstall everything and installed just 1.01 and tried to license it ... but again nothing

thank you in advance for your help :D

  3. Sorry, just a little question:

Why the installation provided in the helpdesk as linked above suggests NOT to license the CMSF base game if it is a Battlefront version?

i am waitig CMSF base game with all the modules and i would like to install all of them properly so i will follow the installation procedure as above, however i would like to understand if i have to license the CMSF base game or if i just need to validate it by using the CMSF marine key as at the 4th point of the installation procedure.

    Thank you in advance

  4. I think a Blue and Red Order of Battle can be fair as far as weapons will continue to come from the main differences based on Nato and former Warsaw pact... for example APCs and BMPs... M16 and AK47...

So a Force West Vs a Force East should be fair, but just with the availability to let the player mix the order of battles (like now for Blues and Reds)

Once (5 years ago) i worked for a Military Supplying Firm and at International Convention (Milipol Paris and Qatar) i saw the division between a Nato way to make weapons and a Russian way to produce weapons can be done... by now i can't say, but i sense that this difference is still there in terms of know-how and production way of thinking.

  5. I had CMSF as a present months ago, tried now to install to see if my system can handle it.

I installed it from GamersGate and all went fine v1.08 with the license

then i installed 1.10 patch AND 1.20 patch but when i try to start it the game ask me to license and i give my serial number but the engine says my serial is not correct, i tried offline licesing and had the same problem....

..is the 1.20 a correct patch even for gamersgate? Or not? Do i have to stay in v 1.08 or at least i have to install the Plain Jane version 1.10 for paradox/gamersgate?

Thanks (for what i see by now even on my low end system the game goes well)

  6. In these days i am playing with CM2 in some scenarios made by me concerning an hypoteical Pact of Warsaw uprising in 1950. So i lead Russians against Rumanians and Magyars, trying to make a sort of "modern combat" i arrange companies with transport vehicles with machine gun with an armour section and an anti tank portable unit. This gives a feeling of sort of "modern combat" with shoulder rpgs, and motorized infantry....

so here goes the question, does anyone ever tried to make a "modern combat" skin mod for Combat Mission (i mean CM1 or CM2 or CM3).

I know CM Shock Force is out there, but i was wondering about CM.

    Thanks in advance smile.gif
