It may be possible to do it with ALOT of coding but that could take a while and I'd rather just have the game now and see if it can be done in the future.

You can move infantry into the rubble of destroyed buildings I believe and you still have walls and fortifications which act as cover.

How you were saying bunkers act like stationary vehicles and have a specific weapon gives me an idea. They should make buildings like that and make them have a MGs and bazookas in them.
  3. Um.... I saw a soldier running and crouch/kneel behind a tree suddenly. Is he taking cover behind the tree or is the tree just decoration and he is crouching/kneeling to make getting hit less of a possibility.

Occasionally some motherboards are made for some large manufacturers (Dell, HP, etc.) that may not have an AGP slot, but we'll assume that isn't the case for you right now.

The next question is how much do you want to spend to upgrade your video for ToW ? If you're willing to spend about $120 this GeForce 7600GS 256Mb (Newegg listing) would probably work fine (plus a current $20 mail-in rebate brings it in at just under $100). There are ATI/AMD based cards that would work for ToW too, but in my opinion ATI occasionally has more issues with their drivers (though that may not necessarily be the case with ToW).

Well, I will most likely get that card :D . Too bad my dad went on a fishing trip to Arizona :( and he said he might get it smile.gif .well his loss on 20$.

My mom is thinking on getting it though. smile.gif

  5. Well thanks for that link :D . I will hit my dad up about saying he would get me a video card, but he didnt  .

And will that video card you suggest be able to run FOW another 1C product. It was n that list i mentioned about for needing a new vid. card(i want to try the demo but cant).

  6. Thanks for the replies i am a computer freak but i dont know much about stuff when it comes to videocards. I know this computer is able to run some high quality games like DOOM 3. And if i need a video card thats just one more thing to go to my list why i need a new one.

I went through the tutorial walkthroughs, and I was surprised by the heavy use of captured weapons. There was a mention that you need suitably skilled soldiers to man and operate captured enemy guns and vehicles, but I wonder what the average skill level of soldiers will be in the game.

You could end up with something grossly unrealistic, if even an entire infantry platoon contains enough skills to man an enemy tank. Average Russian (or almost any other army's) WWII groundpounder could probably figure out how to use captured light infantry weapons, even automatic ones. Heavier weaponry, such as AT guns would be much harder, and combat vehicles such as tanks really need a skilled crew of "tankists" to drive and shoot them. Russians couldn't even read the gauges and switches of German tanks, and vice versa.

And what's the deal with artillery support and CAS? No way a Russian squad leader could order an artillery strike to immediately pulverize the opposing positions. Pre-registered was the name of the game for most of WWII for all armies and all theatres. Otherwise, delays would inevitably occur before any shells would arrive.

I think when you get infantry from next missions most will be "green" and no way you could have 3-4 squads fully survive (no losses) 5 or so levels. And remember the tutorial german charge vs. your trench lines, the germans lost many men in that tutorial mission. The same results will occur for you except victory or defeat

The first walkthrough says in a screen shot about the sniper in the grass and i think he says you can hide in grass and other stuff.

But if he didnt say that by the looks the AT gun would of killed the sniper if he coudnt hide in grass
