So sad, no problems until 1.06.

If I'm not mistaken, seems we all are running on nvidias, though...just a thought.

Don't think too much...I have the same problem with an ATI 1950 PRO ... ;)

I've reinstalled it with version 1.5 waiting for a patch that fixes the patch....

Hope we won't need a patch that patches the patch which fixes the patch...Still clear? :D

    Copy...Over and out.

  2. Indeed, it's a very nice report.

You give me the taste to try it out again.

Since I purchased the game, I never played with it waiting for 'THE' patch. (stopping on the training mission where my hidden troops were automatically targeted and destroyed...)

But now, it seems time has come to fight anyway. (at least...)

And especially with my brand new 24 inches... ;)

  3. Battlefront may open a public vote about our expectations on new modules.

    WWII modules:

    -------------

+ My favourite would be a WWII module 'Battle of the bulge' as you may expect... :D

+ 'Kursk or Stalingrad' module should be fun too.

    Modern warfare modules:

    -----------------------

+ A 'NATO vs Warsaw pact' in Germany (around 1985).

    + Falkands war.

    Hypothetical future warfare:

    ----------------------------

No real idea about this one.

Maybe England vs Russia ...

    + China against Taiwan

    Before 20th century module:

    ---------------------------

    + Civil American war (Gettysburg)

+ Napoleonic wars (Waterloo or Austerlitz)

    What else ? Any idea?

  4. Steiner14...You seems too gentle to be honest...

Are you the other one in Europe that receive the game by mistake from Paradox ???

Is your id Steiner14 stands for the real 'Steiner'...(Iron Cross with James Coburn), a true honest and gentle German soldier...? :D

Personally, i prefer Hauptmann 'Stransky' (Maximilian Schell)...ach ach ach.. tongue.gif

  5. Complaining won't help, just put maybe some pressure on the developper team.

For sure, having awaited so much for so many problems is a bit frustrating.

Nevertheless, personnaly i won't play the game until a valuable patch is out(and the fact that i have time to play...)

Just hope it won't take as long as the development...

I won't blame each day on several threads on the forum as many people are doing (it seems that it became a 'fashion') :(

But my reaction is that i won't preorder CM shock forces as i wanted to do it before.

I will wait for the game to be released, played and tested by the communauty before rushing on the preorder button as i did for TOW.

To summarize, i'm waiting for the patch, and will be more cautious on purchasing games even if there were created by talented companies such as Battlefront.

Only people doing nothing, makes no error. ;)

I think we are all a little bit responsibles for problems in the game, as we were putting each day more pressure...do you want to repeat history...? :D

  6. Play the game... instead of always complaining about this and that...sure that the game is not perfect (just as anything made by man...)

We've waited so long for this one that maybe expectations were too high...

Come back on earth... Tow is finally out, and even if it needs some fixes, we can play it... :D

  7. Hi there,

I've tested a little bit the game, and yes i think there's a lot to enhance (especially hiding tactics) it in to make it real fun.

I'm pretty sure, Battlefront is reading all those topics and knows how TOW has disappointed most of the communauty waiting this game so far.

So i think they will work on patches to correct most of the problems, and enhance the game with the most asked elements.

    I'm staying confident in Battlefront.

    So Refund won't help.

And more on that, it's mentionned that orders are "final"...so now you will be more cautious.

By the way, I wish Battlefront will give us some feedback about fixes, patches, ...

So to summarize, not everything is bad in the game, just wait, first battle is lost, not the war.

    Best regards,

    JM

Oh man. . . The La Chouffe is one of my absolute FAVORITE beers. I knew that it was from the general Ardennes area, but I had no idea the brewery is actually *in* Bagstone proper. My next trip to Europe I am SO making a stop there! What a perfect destination -- military history, and superior beer, all at once!

Thanks for the tip! :D </font>

  9. I placed my pre-order yesterday...

Personnaly i didn't experienced too many problem to do so, but i'm a bit afraid about the download...(so many people pre ordering...)

I think i will have to wait for the DVD as in this f.... Belgium, we're still have 10 Go/month at max 3.3Mb/sec for 40euros (more than 50$)

An extra 5Mo cost us 5 euros...

I Really hate this country...did i mention the common 21% of taxes (and 47% on average monthly revenue)?

    NB:

Mmmmh maybe we may have a special discount in Belgium ?(Our ministers are thirsty vampires...)

More seriously, did you plan some robust download servers ?

And by the way, happy that this game is finally out.

Therefore we should all t(h)anks the whole battlefront team, the only company that maked it possible !!!

Ps: is there a scenario about Houffalize (Battle of the Bulge) in the game? I'm building there so... :D

For those who are interested in visiting Bastogne, you should go to visit La Chouffe, ...very good belgian bier there... ;)

  10. If the immersion is as intense as the release of the game...you should not worry... ;)

i'm waiting so nervously to click on the pre-order button as if i was in a trench waiting for the slaughter to begin...

    Argh...don't you hear them...they're comin'...I can hear the 1C developpers coming while they shouting...."hurraaarrh" ...argh...schussbereit...Feuer...schnell :D

Sorry, I was feeling the action... smile.gif
