Does anyone know where I can redownload the splash, buttons etc for the original ui for these two (yes I know, back up your originals ) It's not on cmmods so if anyone can give me a hand with that I'd be greatful.

Being fairly new to CM one of the things I'm having a bit of difficulty with is the deployment of spotters. In defense it's not so bad as they're mostly stationary and just watch for approaching enemies and plot their course as best you can. Attacking on the other hand is different. In one of my games I have a spotter for 300mm artillery, takes 30 mins to fire on target and it's only a 40 turn game. What would be the most effective use of a unit like that in that situation? Also when spotters of smaller variety are on the attack what are some advised tactics for their best use? I know a lot might depend on terrain, viibilty etc but some general info would be good.

Has anyone been able to get the uniform mods by andrewtf happening? Everytime I extract the files in the zip I get an error message and the bmp's are blank. if someone has a working zip I'd appreciate if you could send it my way

I just checked in the registry keys and the game is under cdv software but it says US english version.

I'm not sure if I somehow got hold of a euro or the American version. My SS units have the WG designation in the game but the read me text docs in my CMBB folder say american english version. How do I tell? My dvd box says Combat Mission 2 and has a pic of a guy pulling his buddy in front of a tank. Are both versions compatible?

I noticed that the special retail version of CMBB doesn't need to be patched to v 103. I just bought the CMAK retail edition so does tht mean that this version is already up to v103 standards?

Thanx for the advice, thats what I did and found all the appropriate bmp #'s and copied them over, therefore saiving all of my precious equipment, terrain, and uniform mods. I even agree with you to an extent on banning Canadians from the internet except I'll only go as far as banning all Albertans from the net. hehe
