Not exactly identical to what you describe but check this ...
Problem: When viewing a turn in the Action Phase, the timer jumps to the end of the turn or displays random numbers. Action on screen may or may not be affected.
Cause/Solution #1: Make sure you are not running and Instant Messenger software in the background. Programs like MS Messenger and AIM can cause this to occur.
Cause/Solution #2: Someodler Dell computers had a problem correctly computing their Windows "UPTIME". This causes the game to loose its timing and corrupt the action playback. Contact Dell for an updated Bios which sh

Don't forget that the size of the map depends on the total points of the QB . For instance a "small" map of a 300 points QB is something like 600 meters X 150 meters , a "small" map of 5000 points QB is 2.5 km x 2.0 km . Actually it is easier for an attacker to win big battles and even more easy if you select "huge map" of course for the reasons that have been exposed above . This doesn't apply on imported maps of course .

Joachim ,
I might be wrong but I think that if you save at the AAR screen you get ,of course, the same map but changed by the battle events ( burning fields , craters and so on ...).

Click Start > Search > all files and folders . Type combat mission ak prefs . Once found ,right click on it and delete . Restart the game .
-
yes you can . Just re-load one of your pbem turns , preferably the set-up turn otherwise you'll get also the terrain deformations ( destroyed houses , craters caused by explosions etc... at the moment of the save )and save the game . Quit and start a quick battle the usual way and when you get the screen with "map type , tree coverage etc..." , click on " load map from file " and select the file you've just saved .
I hope it helped you .

Zalgiris 1410,
If you test it in the scenario editor , you will find out that if you manage to continuously fire for a few turns , you get an immobilization almost every time and then the bailing out is just a matter of seconds because of the high ROF . And this works against heavy tanks like Kv's as well. .
