Before my build i used a Ati xt9600 and X800xt both ran the game at 25 to 30 fps with very few CTD, so your card should be ok,

just remember the graphics card is only one item which may let you down.

I've noticed running vista with my new build that it tells you how well the system will run programs,my new system comes at top a rating of 5.9,

I try to run TOW on a mates new system which only gave a rating of 2.3, and it didn't run at all.

    well.

so other things do make a difference.

  2. Hi

Built a new system for myself,

    AMD2 4600

    EVGA SLI590 m/B

Nivida 8800gts superclocked EVGA 640mb graphics

640gb in 4 raid set up HD space

    2gb of OZ superfast ram

    game runs Gr8

only slight bug is that the camera moves when you don't want it too ie it likes to wander,

    has abody had this,

is it a simple change in options too fix

    Good gaming

  3. Hi

Just remember if your buying a new system and you have 4 gig of ram u should be using a 64bit O/S with vista that makes a big difference, alot of the new drivers aren't 100% but are close,

alot of people with the 32bit version are having various issues with games, but the 64bit version seems more satble, your ram is more important with vista check all the sites the usaul mass produce systems are lacking in the ram quade there have

2gb is minium look to have 4gb if your board can take and use 1gb or 2gb kits, don't use 512mb sticks.

    good gaming

My Cpu is an old XP3000+ barton chip runs at 2.3ghz,with the 9600xt ran with no issues ,with the x800xt it sometimes won't start game,

this is mainly when i'm online doing other things, pause and start to run game,It may be a power thing with my system, althought i have a 550watt psu,I'm not crying because the game runs Gr8, just the odd thing when it won't start, I have to re boot and then it's fine.

    Thx for the game

    Good gaming

  5. Hi

I Take this game like steel panthers Birds view 1995, but like alot of people at the time dream that you could close to 3D eye view real time, TOW comes bloody close, the people who R new to gaming should thing what's it going to be like in 2012

    Hope i'm around to see!!!

    good gaming

  6. Hi

I've updated my graphics from an 9600xt to a x800xt card my CPU wouldn't cope with much more? the game performance increased greatly, but i suffered no CTD with the 9600 yet with the x800xt i have,

I known the x800 is no GR8 card to today standards but the difference is that it has DDR3 ram is this the issue with the game

I run the game with the setting object shadows

    LUV the game

    Hows Panzer elite Txema

    Good gaming

Got X800xt today What a difference,My old 9600xt ran very well, this card bloody GR8, all settings on max all bios options enabled fpr card fast write etc Cat options on full 7.4 driver

This card marries GR8 with my XP3000+ cpu

game runs smooth 25 to 35 FPs 15 to 20 eye level

It seems game runs ok on older cpu's, lets hope the dev's can increase perfomance on the newer ones

Video looks alot better might even give the newer systems a run for there money

Also so you's all know disable the fastwrite in your bios setting for the video card the ATI x1900 series

on x19XX AGP series, fastwrite gives compatibility and stability problems! .

    __________________________________________________

I’ve read up on the x1950pro series card ,looks like my CPU although running the game well,is't up to this cards requirements, recommended 3.4GHz to use this card to it's max,

I've posted b4 that it's no use having super fast one item! And another medium item! so I'm taking my own advice.

I'm going to match my XP3000+ Barton with an ATI X800xt 256mb,Since this was the replacement for the (9600XT series cards which I have now ) I've got this off e bay so we will see if the xtra 12 extreme parallel pixel pipelines and DDR3 do the biz.

The shader is still 2, so keep an eye on any future posts

I like the option to run the graphics card with all the options enabled in the bios,

The x1950 is just too modern for my now old game system.

We will see if I can turn my modern pc that I use for work in the future to a gaming system.

Thx for the info on how this card handles TOW

    sorry about that

In the backpack you have weapon groups 1 and 2 for the commander, the default setting is 7

in an infantry trooper the setting is 1 i.e a luger_08, try this

maybe the devs can tell us what are 1-7 items

can you add more groups in an editor

hope I've helped better this time, if not still have a good game

    Good gaming

in the process of making some, trying to get the best views of tanks on move firing etc, just got to give the in graphics there credit,

INF are a bit tricky when on move, think I've got hang of it now so hopefully will be posting.

My system does show considerable slow down when using video capture down to 5 -10 fps still ok but i'm making a story of different battles anyway we will see how it comes out.

Trip or cash, it's a gr8 Idea, How about fitting in a tank museum as well

    THX for the game

    Good gaming
