I have changed it. and then it complains in the log that it wants 800x600x32. I then change it. It complains for a lower color like 8.
My question is, why did it come up to the main menu when I installed and but won't boot now?

Hey CRex. Whats up.
I have just installed DT on a RHEL(Red Hat Enterprisse Linux) ES ver. 4. I need just one lib.
Installed with no problem, all the way up to the main menu screen. I had no time to continue so I shut down system till today. When I lunch ./runClient.sh I receive the following
~/DropTeam/bin ~/DropTeam
Then the log:
[jbush@localhost bin]$ cat DropTeam.log
MAIN: Version = 0.9.94
LOBBY: Init'ing SDL
SDL ERROR: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
MAIN: Unable to set screen resolution
Requested mode was 800x600x32
[jbush@localhost bin]$
My question. Why would it work on the install, but now I cannot get it to run without fixing the GLX issue. Plus, I have the res set at 1280x1024xmil.

Crex. You the man. My son and I have enjoyed two full nights of fighting over the laptop to play.
He now hates the game for the fact he keeps getting fragged. Thanks. It was the crappy drivers. The Omega installs fine and works.
Thanks. Now to build the RHEL box for the pc.

I can't get Catalyst to install. this is a Mobility x300 video card in a Dell m300.I think I got a SP2 error or a digital sig error. It has been a couple of months. I will try. I have the drivers saved on the hd alog with the Radeon unistall software.
I am using Hydravision 3.25.0006
My CO does not allow us to use SP2 yet.
Is the Hydravision drivers as good?

What I mean is
Unplayable: game crash's to desktop. I send both error reports. I have been doing it since the first beta ver. 8.? or 9? I can't remember.
I have tried installing every version of Soft Drivers custom and OEM for my Dell m30 with the ATI Mobility Radeon X300, 2 gig CPU, 1 gig mem.
It just crash's intermittently. No discernable time. I think it is happening when I hit driver view and moving.
It is starting to really suck. My 9 year old has given up on it.

I have tried every thing I can think of. I have tried every ATI driver and some Custom from Driver.com. It is unplayable. My son, for whom I purchased the game for, doesn't want anything to do with it.
It crash's intermittently. Mostly after using the Gunner View, while moving. To me anyways.
At witts end.

Have tried the ATI unistall. The 6.4 will not install on my Dell M20 w/ x300. I am now using Hydravision drivers. It will crash every game. Intermitten. I will keep tring.

I am running 6.14.10.0257 ATI.
I have done it all. Now it is half game crash 75% or full game then crash 25%.

I am runnig an older ver. I am not in frot of the linux box, but I will change it when I get to it. I know it is more than just video mode.
But, I will chip away at it one problem at a time.

I have tried installing all the drivers I could find from ATI. I have done clean installs. It has gotten betten No my son and I can get in about a game and a half. Better much better. Lots of fun. Not as frustrating.
I have send the "report" everytime. I will keep researching the problem.

I know I know. I am trying to upgrade GLX. I have to insall a RPM. Then a nonther. Then another... etc.

Schrullenhaft I have not. Sorry to say. Just have enough time after kids hockey/tball/lax+I coach to get runnig for son.
I will download latest and greatest and do a clean/fresh install. Will post back.

I can't get through 10 min without the it getting the Send/Don't Send Report.

I have tried many little tweeks. I have gotten past the lib problems by editing the runCLient.sh file and changed the library line to read -> export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/home/jbush/DropTeam/lib. Now when I execute the runClient.sh file. This is the outcome:
bash-3.00$ ./runClient.sh
~/DropTeam/bin ~/DropTeam/bin
bash-3.00$
I checked to see if the process was running and it came back with nothing:
bash-3.00$ ps -elf |grep -i space |grep -v grep
bash-3.00$
ANy help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance......
