  1. I just ordered my copy of SBProPE this evening. Although I do enjoy T-72 BoF, and hope to see continued support and add-ons for the franchise, SBProPE is a different product altogether. I believe they both have their individulal niche and unique strengths. And let's be honest, quality tank sims are unfortunately, too far and few between.

  2. Wish I could offer some help, Kilo, but alas....

Personally I would love to see some additional skins. I'm really surprised this thread hasn't attracted a lot more attention. Many games/sims are buzzing with modding fervor. T-72 is definitely a quality product, and as such one would imagine there would be a little more modding activity within the community. /shrugs

  3. Thanks for the reply, Moon.

It's working fine now, thanks to your help. The new 1.3 demo didn't have the SCRSHOTS directory within the OUT directory. Nor did the program create it once I took a screenshot, even though it would display "screenshot" on the left-hand side of the screen in the console. Nonetheless, I manually created it and it works fine now.

I can now take screenshots of this great looking sim while I await my copy to arrive. Thanks again for the help!

  4. I just read that Crazy House is developing a new armored title called Tank Killer, for the publisher City Interactive. Although it reads as though the title will be arcadish to accommodate the action oriented gamers. I'm more of a realism sim fan myself, but it's great to see the T-72 BoF engine receiving the recognition it undoubtedly deserves.

    Here's an excerpt:

Warsaw, December 16, 2005 -- Ambitious publisher of computer games City Interactive has signed an agreement with the Ukrainian developer Crazy House to publish World War 2 PC action game “Tank Killer”.

The title is scheduled for launch in Q2 2006 and will be translated into various languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Polish.

“Tank Killer” is developed internally by the experienced team of around 20 people at Crazy House and from now on will be solely produced and financed by City Interactive.

Marek Tyminski, CEO of City Interactive, said: “This is a strategic step for our company. With "Tank Killer" we are launching a new chapter: developing games by external studios in Eastern Europe. Crazy House’s “T-72 Balkans on Fire” proved to be a quality title that received good rating from special interest media. "Tank Killer" is the natural direction for the developer, however to achieve commercial success, it will be also need to be aimed at action-oriented gamers, not only to pure sim fans.”

Yuriy Likhota, President of Crazy House: “It is also a strategic step for our company to cooperate with City Interactive. We are going to produce a spectacular game on the base of the T-72 engine that already proved itself in the world market.

Although I'm much more interested in future development and expansion of the T-72 BoF franchise, a hearty congrats to Crazy House. I wish them much success in the future.
