  1. I've installed the 1.3 patch, but I still can't use the joystick properly in the game. I thought I could simply drive the tank with the keyboard, and control the turret with the joystick...

When a mission starts everything seems to be ok, but after I touch the joystick - the drivers keyboard controls are gone, and I can't drive the tank with the arrow keys anymore. I can't control the tank with the joystick either because after a few hundred meters I cannot accelrate with the joystick anymore. Does anyone else having this kind of problem?

  2. Well I don't really think my computer would be "too" powerful. This is my current config:

Processor: Amd Athlon XP 2700 (~1,91 Ghz)

    Memory: 1024 MB DDR

Videocard: Ati Radeon 9600XT 256 MB

Experiment with the T-72 config program (don't forget to turn on "display FPS rate") disable grass (that alone gives you 7-9 FPS) reduce clouds etc. ;)

  3. Hey Schmeisser:

Once you upload your file you will get a DOWNLOAD LINK to the file, all you have to do is to post this link into the forum, and anybody can acces it for the following 7 days.

Oh there is one more thing: zip/rar your files to one single file, because you can only upload 1 file.

By the way, who is the little fellow on the pics?

  4. I saw a post regarding the expansion/addon/patch or whatever you might call it. You said that the missions are finished & are now currently being tested. I’ve only got one simple question regarding this addon:

Has the joystick problem been fixed by the developers? (reversed y axis)

There hasn't been any word about it yet, so Moon or Madmatt could you please enlighten me

  5. Since the T-34 isn't equipped with a stabilized gun, you propably won't be able to destroy the targets while on the move. So you should find a proper hull-down position for your tank. If all 3 enemy tanks are able to engage you at the same time, then they will most likely kick your butt.

You have to find the right position for 1 on 1 combat. Finally if you have any friendly units under your command, you can use them to distract the enemy fire....

  6. This game is good, not perfect, but a decent tanksim with real "eye-candy" graphics.

I've played the russian demo for about a year long, and I was very glad that it was also released in english. There are not many tanksims these days, and this one is really worth buying it.

It has its flaws, but hopefully they are going to get fixed in the NEAR future with a patch....

  7. 1. Reverse joystick axis.

    2. Force feedback - a slight vibration would be cool when firing.

    3. Playable Leopard tank - since there are no interiors this shouldn't be much of a problem. You already have the 3d models, so you just have to make interfaces for the driver & gunner positions. Think about it...

    4. Friendly units should be able to follow player in formation.

    5. And ofcourse more scenarios....

  8. Moon was kind enough to put this map in the forums for download. I've forgot to include a readme file, so I'll just write the instructions here:

    - put the daskal01.ca file in the Cache folder

    - put the daskal01.pd file in the Data\Scripts folder

    - run the game, then go to "User missions" and select daskal01

    Mission:

You are to intercept an enemy armored column, which is heading towards an enemy outpost. After the convoy has been destroyed, follow friendly forces to the enemy village and capture it.

    Tips:

this mission can be pretty though if you want to go head on head with every single enemy unit, so let the friendlies take most of the beating...
