  1. I think you mean the CM Battle for Normandy BIG BUNDLE .

This contains the Battle for Normandy base game and the two major add-ons Commonwealth Forces and Market Garden. It brings the game up to version 2.0.

It is a nearly complete bundle for the Battle for Normandy module of the modern Combat Mission (CMx2). All that is missing is the Vehicle Pack - which adds a few exotic tanks and APCs - and the version 3.0 upgrade.

Barbarossa to Berlin, Beyond Overlord and Afrika Krops are old Combat Mission (CMx1) and are showing their age at this stage - still great but old. I don't think they are bundled with the newer stuff as far as I can see.

    Hope that helps.

    Appreciate all the info thanks.

  2. Do I understand correctly the CM 2.0 Mega Pack contains the following content?

    Battle for Normandy

    Barbarossa to Berlin

    Beyond Overlord

    Afrika Crop

Are there more packs included? Also can you use player made scenarios for 2.0? I am really out of touch with CM haven't played in years. Now that I am retired I have time to play again.

Thanks for any help explaining this to me.

  3. OK my 2 cents worth maybe not even that much. Game content, clear instuctions, game play, game replay ability, stable environment, easy controls, fun and finally graphics.

For me I am clueless when it comes to tanks and the operations. The T-72 demo lacks good tutorial for explaining to me how to play. This will keep me from ordering the game.

I purchased Dangerous Waters strickly from the demo and tried to follow the tutorial demo's. No one can hear you scream underwater. A tutorial built into the game for quick hands on instructions. Man, I really do suck as a sub commander.

In contrast Combat Mission's instruction manual and tutorial make getting into play fast and painless. Yes CM is not the same game as T-72 or DW but a nice tutorial would be appreciated. There are a few tactical challenged and weapon inept people out here and we need help.

  4. Hey thanks for the input all. I wish I could remember the scenario name but it escapes me atm.

My two lead squads are taking pretty heavy fire and running low on ammo, I think I left them in the shaken mode? I thought about pulling them back to better cover and letting some of the other squads dish out the heat for a while.

I got to tell you I am probably the worst general around but I love to play the game.

  5. This probably sounds silly for most of you but I am going to ask anyway. If you have a squad/s in a sticky situation do you use Withdraw or Move to pull them back?

Using withdraw sounds like the troops may panic and run and that don't sound good. So what decides if they will panic and head for the hills?

    Thanks

  6. Not sure what is protocal but I would like get the scenarios offered also. Since the post wasn't started by me I wasn't sure if it would be inappropiate of me to email each of you that offered.

Or should I just ask here in a post for your permission? I sure don't want to sound greedy or unappreciative of you work.

I would also be glad to purchase and pay mailing costs of your scenarios by Paypal if making a CD would be more convenient for you and for your time spent.

    Thanks,
