This Die Deutsche Wochenschau Newsreel gives an idea of tank destruction and explosions.
1941 Minks-Bialystock Pocket. At 3:51 the idea of tank turrets blowing off as unrealistic and more the realms of fantasy is settled. Also ammo cooking off at 4:31.

I may be wrong but wern't (US at least) rifle grenades HEAT rounds?
US had HEAT, HE, Flare and Smoke.
Germans had HEAT, HE, Flare, Smoke and Propaganda.
Hope they include propaganda so the Americans can say "NUTS"!

But, as far as I know the bazooka, panzershreck and panzerfaust have only dedicated HEAT rounds. Otherwise the WW2 soldier would need his rifle grenade, mortars, or hand grenade for HE.
Well, they did develop a Willy Pete rocket for the bazooka called the M10 but it was rare and out of the timeline for CMBN.

Is their a clear distinction in CMSF with HE and AP grenades regarding AI choosing targets, for example RPG rounds?

Are the purely aesthetic or do they provide protection? Likewise do they give a +2 rating to morale?

Will any of the bocage representations have tree burst effects since according to descriptions the bocage hedgerows contained trees?
How will rifle grenades be modelled will my Panther be knocked out again to my horror and can I drop propaganda leaflets causing an automatic US surrender.

I found when using trenches in woods or pines terrain, that AT Guns or Infantry on hide were usually always spotted by aircraft. However when using foxholes for the same assets on hide they never seemed to be spotted.

If you are going to use bocage or tall hedge terrain again, please could you model it more as it still looks like its been attacked by topiary grogs. Since this type of terrain consists of trees should it not simulate arty air bursts?

I've been playing CM for three years. Reading your points on the hide command for vehicles, I'm horrified as I was under the delusion it made a difference to being spotted by aircraft!
Which is known as passive air defence, is this not the case in CM then. I play the Germans mostly, gives me a bitter pill to swallow in the late war. Jabos! :eek:

I do not remember stating the commonality of flying tank turrets or turrets blown off by explosions only that it did occur. All war newsreels footage is propaganda. We have an embedded press regarding military conflict coverage. Although I very much doubt that they had their own blue screen team with them. Are you worried that customers will demand more special effects like fire which your revolutionary software engine cannot handle? Thanks for making me choose Panzer Command Ostfront. At least they understand customer relations.
