I reieved my "boxed" copy today and (to be honest) I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed.
No nice DVD box, Only a slimline jewel case with no cover at all. Only the jewel case and the CD.
Maybe Battlefront can provide a nice cover inlay so that we can print it and put the CD in a DVD box, so that I can put it beside the boxes of the original game and the Marine module.

In the world of flight simulators "Yankee Air Pirat" did a good job on selling episodes for a flightsim (Wings over Vietnam). I got all 81 episodes and really enjoyed them. As far as I remembered I paid $1/mission.

Sorry to ask again. But what do you mean with "Mapping mission"?Originally posted by Captain Pies:Mapping Mission has this capability. Hopefully a skilled member of the community might come up with something similar if BFC allow us to get at the format for maps.

Well, back on topic, it would be nice if someone official might make short statement.
[ ] No problem. It's easy to programm and you'll see it with the next patch.
[ ] Nice idea, but other things are more important. We'll put it on the list.
[ ] Idea is crap. Don't waste our time mate.
[ ] jesus, that jens198 dude is brilliant. We should pay that guy for such great suggestions.

Hi,
last night I played around with the map editor a little bit and this idea came to my mind.
I'd like to load a image file (bmp or whatever) as an overlay in the map editor to make it easier to place buidlings an roads in the proper places.
Example: I got an image (e.g. Google earth) with 1024x768 pixles and I know the exact dimensions of the area (2x3 kilometers). In the editor I choose "Load Overlay from file" and choose my bmp-file.
Now I got my image underneath my editor view. If I zoom in and out the image changes accordingly.
Any chance to have something like this in the future?

Can you post/send that material? Sounds interessting!I have a minute-by-minute account of the action as related by Captain H.R. McMaster from a detailed interview, also multiple maps with phase lines, times, formations and the locations of every individual vehicle and complete TOE.Jens

I'm glad that finaly someone honored my screen capture and image posting skills.Originally posted by Blackhorse:If, on the other hand, you're trying to impress us with your screen capture and image posting skills, then drive on; you're knocking us all off our feet with your skills.

Yep, same here. First I thought I just didn't see it. But after watching the replay closley: no distintive "thumb" when the MK19, no explosions in the target area.

To get into the right mood, people might want to read
John Antal's "Proud Legions" or
Larry Bonds "Red Phoenix".
Both are based on a hypothetical NK attack.

BTW: Seems like they are going to stop their nuclear programm (again).

I did this before the release of Steel Beasts Pro. Not to be recommended.Originally posted by Sequoia:How about sleep until release date? Lots of alcohol can help achieve this.

Ah, didn't know that. But afterall, my question seems to be answerd: No more changing the game than graphics and sound.Originally posted by MikeyD:The closest that you could come to post-WWII armored combat using CMAK would be a 1950s Golan Heights battle with Syrian PzIVs

Hi folks,
I'm a bloody newbie to CM. So my question is: "Are there any modern combat mods for Combat Mission around?"

If you rename it to 1000.old the anoying movie won't show up anymore.

Yep, seems like I missed that one too. But what do you expect when you order a long awaited new module and the website you order from promotes the product like this:
Well anyway, the new module is great. Maybe Battlefront can provide a cover that we may print by ourselfs and put it togehter with the CD in a nice DVD case.
