I changed my old 17 inch CRT to new 19 inch ViwSonic VA902 LCD. And now Combat Mission games have a terrible look what ever I try :mad:
Have others had the same experience?
What can I do? Does it help if I install the game again?

Supposing the opponent has some Panzerschreck teams waiting? Or some 75 mm AT-guns or T34 85 mm versions? Ar'nt T70's or Panzer II - IIIs cheaper to offer as tagets?

As usual, no clear answer. Have you read the book "Panzertaktik"?
Panzerwedge suggests to put the best tanks in front and keep the week ones in relative shelter.

What is the right taktik having for example T34's and T70's or PanzerIV's and III and II?
1) You have the light ones on the side of the heavy's
2) You send the light tanks forward first so you know where the enemy is hiding although you loose some light tanks.

Becouse I do not have a credit card I can not buy from the Web and get the book. So answer my question here:
Having T34's or PanzerIV's on a plain, how to advance?
1) In groups of four to five
2) Dispersed as irregular line
3) As pairs the other one always staing and beiing ready to shoot.
Against the AI for example in Proekrohovka scenario 2 and 3 works fine, but against human opponents I have not had much success.
In case of 1 you must be prepared for airattac.

It then is impossible to design a river with rapids. No war around Niagara or Victoria Falls. How to design a brook or other small river in mountain area?
Probably one should break the waterarea putting the watermill over the river or dam or imagin the rivere to disappear under the ground as in limestone area.

I prepared a map of 2,5 * 3 kilometers, relatively flat. A river flowing through the area. On the upper beginning I put the height as 5, on the down end 0. It was impossible to keep these height settings. The editor changed them to 0, what ever I did. The same phenomena appeared on a large swamp area and on the small river, the height values were difrent but the editor forced them to be the same.
How could I fight against this? :confused:

Someone told that it depens on FOV (field of vision). The game does not show me clearly what happened for the sake of distance and fog of war.

If I have a 88 mm's flak or other gun, and shot on a T34. "Front turret penetration" or something like that is the result. The T34 goes on, and even the infantry continues as passenger.
That is not, what happened in WW2. Infantry at ones jumped on the ground when the tank became a target. An error in Combat Mission 2?

Siiranmäki? I have CM2 BB. Can I somewere get skenarios located in Finland? Other than the 2 I can find in the CD.

I found "preferencies" from the directories of BO, BB and AK and deleted those. If you do not here me anymore, I am happy playing the games again.
