  1. I am currently playing my 5th game of the Spanish Civil war, 3 of them against the AI two against a friend, and I must say it is a great one; well researched and interesting.

There is one thing that I would love to see in a future patch though, and that is the fifth column.

In the begining of the war, while Franco was advancing towards Madrid, the "fifth column" (natinalists) carried out sabotage attacks in Madrid to hamper the republic's ability to defend itself. It was called the fifth column because there were 4 columns advancing towards Madrid from different directions.

I would turn the "fifth column" effect into something similar to French partisans attacks in SC2.

  2. Hi there!!

I am playing the Spanish Civil War with a friend. We started PBEM but last weekend we decided to play online. We changed the saved game form the PBEM folder to the Network folder and were unable to play as it seems to ask both of us for the pasword of the same side; the side whose turn it is.

¿Any ideas? ¿any tips? ¿does the same happen with the rest of scenarios?

Thanks a lot ... love the game.

  3. Hi again!!

It seems my last post was not read, either that or there is no apparent solution at the moment. I am playing the Spanish Civil War with a friend. 4. So Liam, the Good old US, came to Europe to protect us from communism ... that is very altruistic of you guys. Let me remind you that D-Day was launched earlier than planned because it was clear that the Russians were on their way to Berlin faster than expected. Had the Americans and Brits waited a bit longer, the cold war would have been totally different. Many decisions after D-Day were taken by the Allid high command in order to get to Berlin before the Russians to be able to dictate the settlement terms.

During WWII it was clear that 2 powers were emerging and that traditional European powers would decline forever. Having a USSR dominating all of Europe would have been a real problem for the US, so, appart from "saving" Europe's Butt, you, my friend, were taking care of your own butt, making sure to have Europe as a buffer zone. So please step down from the "World Saving" attitude.
