Well, you wouldn't need a keyboard or mouse.. you could use a keypad instead, although it would be very clunky.
And PS2's these days HAVE internet connections.. so it's very possible.
The benefit to going PS2 way is that everyman and his dog has one.
The down side is that everyone who uses a PC [including myself] would hate you. Don't make us hate you Battlefront

*cheers*Originally posted by jrcar:G'Day Mark, not that was not specifically noted in the contract, as an unelightened PC user I didn't specify it. That will be up to BFC.
This is one of several products, including TACOPS, that we are using.
For historical education the game is "covered" buy a multimedia presentation on the campaign in Crete, with ORBAT and equipment. If succesful (and is has been well recieved so far!) there are plans to produce several a year.
Cheers

If this leads to a vast increase in the number of Aussies playing CMAK, I am all for it.
Thanks Rob, for getting our government to spend it's money on something much cooler than that American shooting game

The thing I really look out for are the sounds.
I've spent a heap of time downloading various sound mods, and now when I play with the door closed and the sound cranked up, I really feel the explosions.

There shouldn't be any deal, it should all happen automatic in theory: when you place an order, on your end, the exchange rate which your bank (that issued the card) has down for the day of transaction will be applied to get us the correct US$ amount. The AU$ amount is debited from your account. Simple as that.Originally posted by Moon:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Spindry69:

We do export our 'export quality beers'.. except that in Australian export quality is whatever's left after we've taken the good stuff for ourselves.Originally posted by Seanachai:Normally I would require, nay, demand that Australia undergo a complete embargo of all Combat Mission products as just punishment for being a gang of pointless, primitive pouched mammals with a made up language and a vicious unwillingness to export their export quality beers.

Order it on line, it's well worth it
In fact, get the combo pack with CMBB as well.

That figure alone is incredible, 'they don't make em like they used to' must apply to military personnel as well.Originally posted by Axe2121:* Shot down 32 times.

Planescape Torment is the best role playing game ever.

No you didn't misjudge it at all.Originally posted by ianc:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />So, I judged it is OK. But, did I misjudged it?
Pretty typical that you'd spend your time creating a tool for everyone else to use and all they can do is complain about it...

I don't know if this has been suggested or not, but the ability to export battle results to a text file at the end of a battle, including unit strengths and forces killed would make life a lot easier for the various campaign systems in development now.

That could be the worst idea I've ever heard..Originally posted by lameduck:1. Dynamic Campaign with a playable 'character'
so, yeah.. the people except for me demand that.

He's right, for your FPS style games, ASE can't be beat.. except by an internal browser, and even then it's a close thingOriginally posted by Los:"Why?,the fact is most serious publishers use the gamespy arcade because it's the easiest way to find opponents, of course your not forced to use it."
Do yourself a favor and ditch Gamespy. Use "The All Seeing Eye" instead.

Because you have no idea how bad gamespy is.
[Hint: Really really bad.]

I printed and bound it at work, a shocking abuse of corporate resources

One thing that might be worth brainstorming is a way to make retreat battles a bit easier.
After playing several games using the system, I've found they all work really well, except for retreat battles where I fiddled the numbers [as keeping accurate stats as they go off the field is tricky]
