  1. 'To Late the Hero'...I concure, thats a classic!.

Caine made two others worth a look at:

'Play Dirty' and 'The Eagle has Landed'

Both good solid war films made during the 70's when we were surounded by rubbish like 'Battle of the Bulge' and "The Great Escape' to name a few...

    My opinion anyway

There has not been a decent tank sim since "Panzer Elite".

Now that was a great Sim for its time, I particularly enjoyed the Italian Campaign..

I hope you were thinking only WW2 thou,

otherwise 'SteelBeasts Pro' wipes the floor :D

  3. From what I gather,

    every single weapon/AFV/soldier/shell is tracked.

    The screenies are gorgous.

    OK, I've lost the plot.

    What is YOUR command.

Is ToW~ Squad, platoon or Company level, and what are the largest forces that can be fielded.

    Thanks for your patience.

  4. I vaguely recall a discussion on the Il-2 forums that the Red Airforce used Green? tracer for some time.

I myself use green for Soviet/Allies and yellow for Axis,

most probably historically incorrect but a good players aid.

At least I know in a flash incoming fire from outgoing,

thou I get confused at traffic lights, buttoning up windows or bailing at the red light...

I call it- having a seniors moment :D

  5. CMAK vanilla came with a 36pp booklet.

    Well done in my opinion,

with all the hotkeys, fire, movement orders, morale and leadership symbols conveniently located in the covers.

Bill Mauldin's cartoons are a hoot..

"Able Fox five to Able Fox..."

  6. Apart from everything else that has been said about the CM series,

Its the wonderful virtual tabletop wargaming aspect I enjoy.

Gameplay (engine) and Eyecandy are both equal for me.

Those with the talent construct Ops, senarios from the 'sandpit' editor,

others mod for all to share. When you open a mission and scroll down through, its an amazing little world; briefings, OOB's, battlefield.

You don't have to spend hours packing up -(thou I usually spend whole evenings setting up).

I enjoy the pearls of wisdom from all the Grogs and satire from the funny buggers.

    It is a good Forum.

OT: I already have the two ACW MMG sims and I'll be getting LG when it hits the shelves.

  7. Looking forwards to the M10.

Gurra and AndrewTF have done some splendid early Tigers but I hold a cherished dream of seeing a Normandy Tiger one day (Late, tritone with zimm)...

Any masterpiece you create, I will endeavour to Panelbeat for BO (read: Transform/skew/distort in Photoshop).

Its you and other modders that have done the 'hard yards', I just do the mad minute on top of your works. :D

cheers for all the hard work.
