Thank you MadMatt. I just tried that with no luck.
I don't think it's hardware-related, since this worked fine under Win 98. Is there a recommended video card for the CM games under Win 2K though?

I've been trying different drivers, including 29.42 with no more luck. I've also tried installing DirectX 8. Is there a known good combination of drivers and DirectX versions for Windows 2K and a GeForce card?

I recently upgraded from Win98 to Win 2000. Trying to run CM:BO, I got the select a resolution screen, but the only options were software acceleration. I updated my drivers, and now I get a flashing grey screen when I try to run. This is similar to the behaviour I get if I try to set my desktop resolution to greater than the monitor can support.
The graphics card is a GeForce, running NVIDIA's 4.4.0.3 drivers.
I've run DXDIAG with no graphics failures.
I have toggled anti-aliasing with no success.
CM:BB presents the same behaviour, though I didn't try it before "updating" the drivers.

Okay, I just got the bundle in the mail (ordered just before they announced AK. I'm channeling Gooddale, :mad: :mad: :mad: ) I'd like advice on what the next step is after reading the manual. Specifically, I'd like to avoid learning to beat the AI, and just the AI. Are there missions or QB settings to utilize/avoid? If you were coming to the games with a blank slate, what would you do differently?

Thanks for the comments Schrullenhaft; I was finally able to get my setup working again. One thing that I tripped across was that I needed to cycle through a lot of video modes before it worked, about five minutes worth.
