  1. the tank was in a wooded area and my soldiers ran across an open field, just to the left of the tank, and ended up on its flank, 5 meters away. soon after they stopped, the tank started to move and that is when they saw it.

  2. they were moving forward, when the spotted, the tank suddenly moved and that is when they spotted them. I was playing low difficultly.

well that is want AT seemed to do in cmbb, here they seem invulnerable, but I am new to this engine and am probably not engaging them properly.

  3. does anyone else have a problem with the way spotting works in this game. I had a squad of soldiers not spot a tank until they were only 5 meters away from it. not to mention my tanks getting killed by AT guns and no one being able to spot them? I don't know if I am just really use to cmbb, but a lack of spotting seems to take the fun out of the game for me.

am I doing something wrong? are there orders I should be giving to my men? when I give moment orders, should I have multiple pauses in there moment path.

  4. yes, i gave up on it. the map had too much detail for my computer to play it. so i made a smaller one, 1/3 of the size and while it ran okay, it ended up being pretty boring.

i might revisit now, with the info from that website. really nice. a problem i have was when 800 taliban started shooting, my computer would freeze up. even with 500 of them, it still ran super slow. if i tried it again, probably would only use 100-150.

if anyone else feels like trying it go for it. in my free time, i have been working on a town assault map and have put this scenario on the back shelf.

  5. pete, your map is great. however, i tried to create a infantry scenario using it pitting a heavily reinforced american infantry battalion against 3 + enemy battalions. when i tried to play it, i couldn't even get past the first information screen. so i got rid of everything except for 1 company on each side. i got past the first screen but when i was trying to set up my guys, the performance is just too choppy. i am starting to think that all the maps are just suppose to be flat dirt maps. i am starting to be real disappointed in this product.

  6. i was trying to make a prison revolt scenario. the map was 1600M X 1600M and i had at least 1000 taliban and almost 700 U.S. + Northern Alliance troops. when i try to load the scenario, it takes forever just to get to the password screen and i can not get past it. is the map just too big or is my computer too slow? i never have any trouble playing other scenarios, other than a little slow down once in a while.

  7. i was playing this scenario as the militia and ran into a small problem. in the orders, it says i should aquire some weapons. when i try to get my guys to go into the stikers, all i get is a yellow icon and my troops won't go inside. are the americans the only ones able to get ammo and weapons from a striker?

  8. i am trying to play a pbem game with longtime opponent (cmbo, cmbb, cmak). our game started okay, but when he tries to send me his turn i can never receive it because comcast limits email to 10mb and the file is 15mb. we are only playing a scenario that consist of a blue and red mech infanty company. why is the file so big? are we doing something wrong? does anyone know of a email service that let's you send emails of at least 15mb in size?

    thanks,

  9. please note that the several tanks where 2 immobile, 1 of whick was no where near the trench line, and 2 that were abandoned not knocked out.

jason, you never got back to me howe many enemy kia's there were, i'm sure graves registration must have counted them.

New maps and briefings have been sent. It is now the Noon turn.

the message i get whether i run the program before or after i print screen is this.

"could not import the clipboard because adobe photo deluxe cannot recognize the file extention."
