  1. I'm getting my butt handed to me in a tourney right now due to my opponent beating me to a nicely reinforced town objective due to his use of German skiers in heavy snow conditions in Italy. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with standard US troops who continue to struggle with every step.

Why are there no US ski troops? What ever happened to the 10th Mountain Division? Please fix or somefink!

  2. Ok, more simulator than game, I'm willing to buy that, in fact, I want that. However, one thing that continues to baffle me is how and why it is necessary for both opponents to see the quality of the other person's units. I mean in what battlefield is it possible, when properly identifying the make and class of an opponent's tank for instance, to also know it is a "crack" unit versus a "green" unit. This simply doesn't happen short of interrogation of the crew, so why should it exist in this game? Is this something that could be patched?

Spiking the guns would be acceptable to satisfy honour, but your enemy should get victory points for this as well.

Good points and definitely a fair compromise for the reasons you mentioned. I'm wondering if BFC has identified this as something worth fixing in their plans for the future?

In the meantime, as already suggested, it looks like redefining "interdiction" by firing a few rounds onto friendlies may be the only way to break this bond and avoid heavier losses.

  4. First off, I'm very much happy with CMAK and not a penny was wasted, but I do have one gripe that is more related to the present engine than this particular game. Something I've experienced in CMBB has now resurfaced in CMAK during my play of the scenario, "Defense of Trig 29."

    SLIGHT SPOILER ahead...

    >My 2 and 6 pounder AT guns made a nice go of it against the Axis assault, but upon finally running out of ammo, they could do little more than holler insults at the enemy. Self preservation would dictate that these 5 team gunners abandon their hard to tow gun rather than await the close infantry and tank assault of the fast approaching enemy. Instead, these guys seem determined to hold on to the big guns. This then results in either capture or death instead of what could have been a clean get away if only I had a button which disengaged man from machine. Perhaps something better handled by the new engine, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

<edited to include> The problem of course is not limited to just the above, but applies to on-board mortar crews, MG teams, and all maned guns (fixed and movable).

  5. Has anyone seen the Whino lately? He hasn't been seen for a couple of days (barring his ability to post)since I lit up one of his Stug IIIF(late) models with my KV-2 in a most specatacular fireball. That was only after plasma blasting an entire platoon of his from the bushes where they scurried away all broken like to be reduced to little flat figures littering the field.

    The Hoorer...

First off, non-posting? Here I accused you of peddling boxed wine a few posts back and not even the mere utterence of an apology from you, let alone a date as to its release. I'll find it shelved under the name Welche's, no? :D

As for calling me "gamey," this reeks of irony, and not the least bit a possiblity as it would only rob me of the satisfaction of beating you clean and free. Btw, files in your mailbox.

BTW did I mention that the Vikings are 4-0, did i? Oh well, all this baseball talk is nonsense and should be forgotten.
A Vikings fan, well that speaks volumes. Off to an early roll, and that's good and fine, but I seem to recall a similar run that was stopped short of glory by some slippage in "dirty bird" shat. Meanwhile, my Donkeys are going to dominate the AFC once they deal with Mr. Holmes and Co.

For instance how much water would you add to a 8300 gallons of juice that is at 27 Brix(a measure of sugar contnet) to reduce the Brix to 24? Quick lads, the clocks a-ticking. And while you are at it how much Tartaric acid to add? 2 grams per liter? 3? 4?...

C'mon, is all that hard work really necessary just to make wine of such unriveled quality that it is to be poured from a little spout at the base of a box?

I'll keep checking the cooler at 7-11 in eager anticipation. :D

BTW, did someone say drinks in Vegas November 22nd or 23rd?
Depending on my work schedule, that could be in order. Best I start screening now for a new liver to place on standby.

No worries there Dave, he didn't try to rub it in, my conscience did.

Interesting though how enlightening Websters can be. :D

    What "suffering" !?

The entire scenario was like nails on a blackboard....that was the suffering alluded to. Never a mention was made in any post about anything other than what a pile of ****e this build of the scenario was. But, I guess I could have subconsciously been referring to the "suffering" that is indicative of your life, you knuckle-dragging, Budweiser-drinking, Nascar-fan, country-music-listening,inbred hick.</font>

What "suffering" you gnit!? Whine-o, your posting is as gammey as your tactics. The final score resulting from your requested cease-fire: 51%-49%, with you eeking out a hair-splitting lead. I await the rematch.
  12. Ok Cheery-Cheese-Chuckers, it's been awhile since I last lurked in these parts, but I thought I'd share with you a new scenario I created for you to gnash your teeth upon, "Continuation War." Nothing as twisted or enraging as a Soddball scenario, but a nice long scenario nonetheless, where the Fins put up a hardy slug-fest against a very determined Soviet aggressor in '44. Enjoy.

Sure, sign me up, and may I inquire about whether this offer comes complete with the Ginsu knife set and a case of GLH (I'm still finding it difficult to believe that someone has no doubt made millions off of marketing spray paint as a form of hair replacement.)?
  14. Well, just when I thought I had enough time, err, patience to challenge MasterGoodale he decides to go on vacation. Vacation? Or rather, could that mean instead, long hours stuck on the crapper while trying to dislodge several pounds of undigested... (feel free to fill in the blank)? :D

As for "gamey" Mike-the-Whimperer, he may find it difficult to forge ahead with his tanks over water should my "gamey" SUs take out the bridge (ala Cherry Waffle). Better get your floatees on.

Nippy I'm still ready for that comeback attempt--err Karma realignment therapy--any time you're ready.

Soddball and I are still searching in the dark around something that strikingly resembles a dam.

Alright Wino, although not qualifying as any of the above, I'm back now and happy to take you up on your previous offer for a little "squirmish." Go ahead and send your fascist laden file my way.

Oh yeah....

hahaha...I hope for the sake of all of Finland and the greater European continent too, that Hee-Haw--being the most shameful of American shows--never gets dubbed and mailed to you.

But then given how the Germans have turned David Hassledork into a pop icon, perhaps even this will take root.
