hmm interesting...i wonder if we'll see it this side of Christmas.

I wonder if they'll do all those in the same expansion, or split them out.

Lack of manpower manifested itself in other ways in the British Army. By 1944 it was armour heavy, since armoured units were not quite so manpower intensive. This often caused large armour losses such as during Goodwood since the armour was insufficiently supported.

Loved it when i went 20 years ago.

That is pretty cool.

The previous version ran so poorly on my high-end PC that i decided not to buy the game, and i've bought the others.
A good 1.04 demo may help me change my mind.

Our soldiers swear an oath to Queen and Country, mercenaries do not. Our soldiers most certainly are not in it for the money, mercenaries certainly are.Originally posted by Wisbech_lad:Don't professional soldier and mercenary mean the same thing? Some one who fights as a career, and in return for payment.
Modern merc groups (e.g. Sandline) do work very closely with their national government (Sandline went in instead of the British Army for example to Sierra Leone, because politically more feasible, and that was an offensive action)
The British Army was very much involved in Sierra Leone, the SAS took apart their armed rabble in double quick time.

Falklands ?
Never been done before, some armour, some vehicles, but in a large part an infantry battalion war

This is another one of my concerns with the game design. That much of the terrain graphics you see in the game (such as vegetation, grass, trees, brush etc) does NOT affect the LOS/cover besides just looking nice. Infantry DO NOT occupy terrain like they do in CM. They are effectively ALWAYS considered to be occupying open ground as far as cover and concealment goes. Unless I can be told otherwise, this is my understanding. This has been discussed before.Originally posted by Lt Bull:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by GS_Hinkel:
also what i noticed are that bushes dont block LOS in any way

Could have been brought in from an armour school, or a unit refitting or forming in the area. The Germans were pretty good at rushing units and equipment around, seems they spent the entire 2 last years of the war rushing to one emergency or another.
