I have the Allies in 39 Campaign game and have captured Portugal. I am unable to transport or Operate my victorious forces from Portugal by sea. Is this correct? Don't tell me I need to invade Spain to "rescue" them!

I fair fine against the AI as either the Axis or Allies, but when I play against a human opponent, (PBEM), I have a much more difficult time as the Axis in the 1939 game. Am I alone on this? Am I that bad of a general? What can I /we do to adjust the balance to make this a more enjoyable PBEM game? Should I try a different scenario where the Axis forces are more established? :mad:

One of the many things that I enjoy(ed) about SC is the fact that I did not need to insert the CD every time in order to play the game. It was such a joy to not search through the mountains of CD's, (games), that I have on my desk. Why on earth was this changed in v1.03? For this reason alone, I have yet to go to v1.03.

Silly question from an experienced gamer; How does one tell what version, (1.02, hopefully), of the game you are running?

I don't agree with or understand the "Surprise Contact" rule. When I move a land based Unit next to a seen enaemy unit and there happens to be another unseen, (FOW is on), enemy unit that ends up adjacent to me, I get the dreaded "Surprise Contact". Then I am forced to due battle, @ reduced odds, no less, against the once unseen but now seen enaemy unit.
