Really? In Finland? How much is it? I got CMBO so I wouldn't want to pay extra for something I already got.Originally posted by Larry Thorne:There is the CM anthology CMBO/CMBB/CMAK in stores...how about that?

Hi,
I have both CMBO and CMBB and enjoyed playing them. I've been thinking about buying the CMAK&CMBB bundle and donating my CMBB to a friend.
Is the bundle worth the 60 bucks pricetag? And does BFC ship to Europe(Finland)? I would benefit from the currency rates if I could buy directly from the US. Not to mention absence of silly sensorship consequences
Any thoughts and advice appreciated

I waited for years for a replacement to Jagged Alliance, then came Silent Storm. Now it seems that my waiting for the replacement to Great Naval Battles might just be over soon

I'm sorry that I haven't sent any e-mails or setups but my webmail has been down since last saturday  The service provider has finally been able to restore my account and all old e-mails should ( ) be back this weekend.
I'll contact you as soon as everything works again!

No, it is a portion of Talinmylly. Of course, for such an explicitly deprived fellow as Andreas, even Mount Doom would remind him of his mum. Should someone send him a DVD full of Swedish pornography (no, not grog/war porn)? He probably is missing all that in No-Sex-Please-Britain, which is a great cultural shock after his career at Reeperbahn. </font>Originally posted by Andreas:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Runyan99:

That's one thing that is easily done at The Proving Grounds, just switch yourself into inactive mode so no-one gets your info when they search for opponents.Originally posted by easytarget:in fact, avoiding them becomes actually the hard part
I have done so, when I have enough PBEMs ongoing.

Ok, thanks. Haven't read the manual since I got the game and leafed through it onceOriginally posted by Kestrl:You can read all about clearing landmines in the CMBB manual, just look in the appendix under The Environment, Mines, and Clearing Mines page 64.
The manual says you need to be within 25 meters for a engineer/pioneer with demolition charges to clear mines and depending on experience it takes a few turns.
-
How does this actually work? Do you just move them close to the minefield and they clear the mines automatically or do you manually "area fire" the demo charges onto the minefield?Originally posted by flamingknives:cleared by engineers/pioneers using demo charges
And how close do you have to be?

Please do, it would come handy in some maps.Originally posted by Sergei:Re: terrain grid, would anyone like to have gridded tree bases/field? Unlike open ground, these don't change their colour by elevation, so maps with lots of woods and fields are difficult to figure. I have made a little remedy for this. If someone thinks it would be useful, I can upload it.

w00t! Is there so much moderating to do on this forum that MadMatt has been cloned
Or is it his identical twin brother?

Yes! Nothing would be more satisfying than lobbing a barrage of 120mm shells on a horde of 'binkses' :mad:Originally posted by Sergei:Fighting with those war droids and those rabbit creatures (Jar Jar Binks etc) would be totally sweet!

Yep, it was co-produced by finnish broadcasting company, YLE. I guess that's why it was shown here so soon after completion.Originally posted by Tero:I think the documentary was aired here in Finland not so long ago. Most impressive and effective. Highly recommend.

Hey Seanachai!Originally posted by Seanachai:Now the Finns are doing it too! BFC, this is intolerable! Next we'll be having to send them Jerry Lewis movies just to try and undermine their culture!
If I wanted to be subjected to filthy, multilingual goings-ons, I wouldn't live in America!
Why don't you just learn finnish, it's easy to learn

Good looking GUI. I like those colors, very easy to read and fitting for desert warfare!

Yes, softsand is not unlike snow, but not quite as bad. And temperature is affecting movement and fatigue in CMBB already as is, so of course it will be in CMAK as well.Originally posted by Moon:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Private Bluebottle:
One wonders, will it be that in CMAK, moving in soft-sand is considered as difficult?
Will other environmental factors, such as heat be taken into account? Trying conduct a battle in extreme temperatures is very debilitating after even an extremely short amount of time.
Jarmo, snow depths are listed in the manual. I think it's >3, >8 and >12 inches for light, snow, and deep (going from memory here).

Just as I was starting to think "That T-26 looks like crap" there comes a mod for it!
Thank you mchlstrt!

Actually, I have found the german ACs with 20mm autocannons very useful, especially at the start of the war. Sure they can't kill T-34s but everyone else is in trouble with them (panic effect) and they tend to hit quite well. I'm guessing they get a 'to-hit' bonus because they fire bursts, not single shots.
Just make sure YOU get the first shot

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone of you has read or knows of this book:
ARMY GROUP NORTH. THE WEHRMACHT IN RUSSIA 1941-1945
HAUPT W
ISBN: 0-7643-0182-9
SCHIFFER PUBLISHING LTD
Any insight concerning the readibility and or content would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Are you sure? I remember reading from the manual that if morale drops too low this happens, but I don't recall it mentioning anything about ammo levels.Originally posted by Sergei:That is already the case. If your ammo or global morale gets below certain level, you are forced to offer ceasefire.
-
Maybe an automatic cease-fire could be forced on the players if most/all of his units are low on ammo? IMO this should be a good solution.Originally posted by MikeyD:A small warning. I've played a few scenarios where the combatants have exhausted themselves long before the game's end, and you mostly wind up with both sides hunkered-down with depleted ammo taking occassional pot-shots at eachother to keep their heads down. If you want longer games, believe me those types of game seem a LOT longer!

Can't anyone confirm/explain this bug? Come on, help me out here.
