  1. For transporting, I always let the halftrack (or another transporting device) get in to move first.

The turn ends and halftrack is still on route to place b. Then I order the troops inside to their positions near place b.

I don't trust command delays, because if my halftrack spots an enemy, it may start shooting at it - and then the troops will jump out and walk to place b.

  2. Here is the to the turn: http://www.the111.com/rockmacrowIII071.txt

    password is "303"

The action happens at 59-60 seconds.

Wow! I'm impressed! I've always thought that when you get a ricochet, the shell just disappears. Instead of CM calculating where that shell actually goes. I've never seen an explosion on the ground after a ricochet (maybe I've seen one, but didn't recognise it was made by a ricochet), but now saw how a tank is destroyed by one.

BTW, that Russian tank hunter team did very well also.

ATRs are pretty neat to keep the enemy tank commander inside. Reducing the visibility is also important. And with a lucky shot, you will get the commander and then the tank is pretty blind.

You don't know how to cheat? It's very simple. From the PBEM-text file you change the 32nd "C"-letter to a "W" and your tank hunter team will be changed to a King Tiger with a crack-crew. And if you remove the 7th "Z"-letter from the file, you will hit only weak spots in enemy tanks. I guess there's more tricks, but with these you'll do fine. I mean we don't want to get caught or something.
  5. Don't worry about it. Those whining Duffy Ducks are annoying, but sometimes it's kinda fun to hear whining from the opponent :D

They blame on you for cheating, the game for being unrealistic etc...etc...

But wait when they manage to get such a lucky punch. Then it is pure skill and suddendly the game is very realistic ("the armor in Tiger wasn't idiot-proof in WW2 and the same thing with CM! Very realistic! I'm impressed!").

One guy even quit (didn't answer PBEM-mails anymore) when I managed to destroy his IS2 and KV-IS with my Panzer IVG (hull down & close range)

Those whiners are just sucky losers. I always dump whiners = I play the game till the end, but refuse to play more with him.

I'm a Finn. For me, it seems that most of the Finns doesn't even want Karelia back (including me). But there are also quite a lot of people who thinks differently. I would say the numbers are something like 70% are saying no and 30% are saying yes. Not a fact, just my feeling.

Why I don't want Karelia back?

    [politics]

Nowdays, Karelia is pretty much a wasteland. There lives approx. 1M Russians. So, if we get Karelia back, we cannot force those 1M Russians away from their homes, so they would come with Karelia. Now we got 1M extra Russians in Finland, which would be a big problem. Unemployment numbers are already pretty high in here, so then it would explode in to our hands. And why that 1M Russians would continue to live in Karelia, when they have a chance to move in to everywhere in Finland.

And besides, if we could get Karelia back without the people (still no thanks), I don't believe the Finns who lived in Karelia would ever move back there.[/politics]

That was politics. I'm not against Russians. Actually I have 2 friends from the former Soviet Union. The other is from Petroskoi and the other is from Lvov (Ukraine). They both live in Finland and the other speaks incredibly well Finnish.

At least in Finland, I've seen CMBB for 8€ and CMAK for 10€. Didn't buy, because bought those games immediately after the release.

EDIT : Oh yeah! I like CMBB way more than CMAK.

  8. YES!!!

It's been pretty frustrating to know that many guys in Finland are already playing CMAK and learning all cool features from it.

Hope I'll get my copy for the next weekend. (Sorry wife!)

    Way to go Battlefront!

BTW! It's about time to give us some bones from the next CM? ;)

    - Quiet!

    - What?

    - Do you hear it?

    - Hear what?

    - Afrika Korps are marching to my mailbox.

I knew it! It's a great conspiracy, "they" gave us fake money, probably from Monopoly-game...

    Bring back our Finnmarks!

I ordered from Battlefront and now starting to regret it - my friends are already playing the game and Battlefront's site says that shipping will start on 5th of December.

At least that the FAQ was talking about a PDF manual, which sounds very "CDV-mäiseltä".

CMAK is the first product ever I have pre-ordered, and now this...Awww crap!

    I'll wait & see.

  11. Damn you Dose Helsinki! Well, have to wait my US-version to arrive. But I believe the US version is worth waiting few more days instead of getting CDV-version immediately...

Hope you screw up with your exams

Well, CMAK will do it so you'll have to pay twice (money & exams) for it :D

No, seriously...good luck with your exams and don't play CMAK all the time. Try to read for your exams too. smile.gif
