As I recall, sniper won't open fire inside of 100 meter with their rifle, but will open fire with their pistol at very close range. Occasionaly to great effect.

  2. As a noob I was taking stock of the Allied armor by setting up a 5000 point QB and buying one unit of all the Allied tanks and vehicles. After I was done looking at the stats, I checked out the German units by surrendering. The Germans were the defending force and granted, this was a pretty large QB, but the AI bought 17 flamethrower units. Now some were with Pioneers but there was a section of at least 12 Flame throwers purchased singly! That is more than 12% of their entire allowance dedicated to flamethrowers! How gamey is that? Alas!

  3. I'm a bit of a noob with CMBO and was playing a battle last night when one of my Vet tanks made a disconcerting targeting choice. The tank was a PzIVJ and had just crested a hill at the end of the last turn with another tank. A Firefly was on another hill maybe 350 meters away and at the start of the turn I ordered the Pz to target the Firefly. As the turn started a British inf squad appeared maybe 50 - 74 meters in front of the Pz and my tank retargeted the squad. This resulted in the untimely demise of the Pz. My question is: does anyone know how the computer prioritises targets and how or why it chooses to retarget enemies. Thanks in advance for responses.
