The amazon app store is now available outside th US - I just got CM touch from it in the UK quite validly. The procedure is:
(on your android device...) go to amazon.com (us site) and search for combat mission touch (UK amazon doesn't have it).
There is a "Get this app" section, with the "continue" button to download the appstore. Somewhere along the line it mentions the list of countries the appstore is now available from (US, UK, Germany, France, a few others).
Download and install the Amazon Appstore.
Open the store and search for combat mission touch. You should now be able to buy it in your local currency. (The card information the app store had was out of date for me, so I had to log in to amazon.co.uk to re-select my non-expired payment card).
Sadly doesn't seem to work from Sweden. No worries, I'll be playing Organ Trail instead. Would be nice to be able to give my money to BF for this game though. I could easily pay $10 for this. It's just the cost of a beer in a fancy bar here in Stockholm anyway. I'll check back in say 6 months for any news about this.

- Potential buyer to Battlefront, come in Battlefront!
I lost interest in CMx2 for PC, just not as fun as it used to be. Bought everything except CM:FI anyway. Hoping this tablet stuff will bring back the fun.
So, any news?
I want to give you my money, please.

Hey! Any news on this?

Hi! Just bought an Nexus 7. Really nice tablet I must say. So what's the status on CM: Touch for Google Play? I tried buying it from Amazon but apparently I live in the wrong country (Sweden).

Oh. And can I make one feature enhancement request? It would be just swell if there were support for asynchronous multiplayer. As I mentioned elsewhere, when my brother and I play, our schedules don't exactly line up and we live in different parts of the US. So, when we play CM, we use PBEM. Now, I don't expect PBEM in CM:T, but some kind of asynchronous play would be great (unless that's already supported in the GameCenter implementation?).
Thanks for reading...

Check this out from "Upcoming 1.1 Update"-thread:
"Saved Games
Your games in progress will be automatically saved as you play. This will work much the way that replays do (it's completely automatic and to load one, you just select any of your previous past few games to continue where it left off).
This feature is also the groundwork for asynchronous multiplayer, which won't be in 1.1, but also won't be far behind it."
Asynchronous multiplayer is a real winner in my book. Easy opponent finding and easy online play are really important things!
Now I just have to buy an iPad to play this $4.99 game.

The scenery sure looks nice, but the sight of all those AFVs and trucks bouncing on their soft suspensions makes me feel like all the vehicles are French Citroens in disguise.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!
("LOL" was deemed "too short")

YES! I like this.

I was playing a very excellent campaign by Field Marshal Blucher and there was this considerably large church with a large cemetery around it. Now, I have seen some churches in Europe and so in my mind's eye I was picturing these thick stone walls and narrow windows and so said to myself that this is going to be a tough nut to crack. But, it turned out to be a piece of cake. With just small arms fire I was able to inflict quite a few casualties and quickly take the church. When the role was reversed my crack guys were also dying easily. Are churches treated just like any other buildings? Cemetery was nothing special either.
Yes, I think at least at ground level the stone walls of old churches in europe can be at least one meter thick, if not more.

Yes, I´m having a little difficulties with this. Sometimes it looks like there´s an opening in the bocage and there´s not. It can also be difficult to see the holes that the breeching teams make in the bocage. I find going to level 6 looking straight down on the map helps with this.

I have good news and bad news. I know the real release date. I won't tell you what it is but, from reading these posts, is seems to me that the pressure of wating for this game is too much for some. I suggest everone take a week off to get some work/life/gaming balance.
I guess the bad news is: "I suggest everone take a week off to get some work/life/gaming balance."
I think my earlier outright, from another thread, was ok (May 3-May 8 should be around 500 now though =P):

Well, football ("european", "soccer") seems to have the ability to spawn both war and violence on and of the terraces, so the connection to CM might not be so far off, sadly.

Looking forward to get back to WW2. Bought SF + Marines + NATO, hoping it would hook me. It never completely did. Although I think its a very good game. Anyways, at least I supported my favourite game developer!

Are you ****ing insane? I mean seriously. Do you really want Battlefront to join the evil banality which is DLC and gaming subscription development? Any studio that releases a game piecemeal at a premium that does not deserve your money.
Good thing I had my flak-jacket on!

I say, release the game whithout campaigns, or just one very basic short one. Add them later in the patches or charge us a few dollars to download packages of campaigns and scenarios. I think campaigns and scenarios tend to evolve and get better as people learn the game and new patches come along anyway. [Flak-jacket on!]

Thanks guys! Gives me an idea of what to look for.

Hi,
I´m thinking of buying a new laptop that can handle cmsf (and hopefully the new ww2 game). I´m curious, what are the specs on your new laptop?

I almost bought a BV206 several years ago
Steve
Hey, you should´ve bought one! Used to drive one during swedish military service back in 1990. Great fun driving in snow, mud, and water!

You english speakers should be proud of the so called F-word! Its extremely versatile and it´s been around for a thousand years (when a word shows up in writing you can be sure it´s been used by people for a long time already). ****, ficken, ****a, knulla! (Do I have tourette´s? **** off!)

We the people of the greater region of Stockholm declare our independance from the rest of Sweden!
And Laponia declares their independance as well. And the region of Skåne in the south too! And then the part of Stockholm where I live declares its independance from the rest of Stockholm...
The result? Instead of one fully functional country you get 10 ****ty ones...
And besides you´ll never qualify for the EURO or WORLD CUP ever again!

Is Kosovo of "immense strategic importance" to Serbia?

Hey guys at Battlefront, great work!
Now don´t forget to take a couple of weeks vacation! You deserve it.
Android store / Google Play status?

But I think not at the time the question was asked, 11 months ago
This game´s pretty dead.
