[Strange StuG]

I just bumped into this whilst reading achtung panzer:

Finns modified their Stugs during the battles of 1944. Modifications included the addition of three wooden logs to both sides of the superstructure, armor around the gun mantlet was reinforced with concrete, tracks were mounted on the lower front hull and both sides of the hull along with stowage bins. The original German MG-34 machine gun was replaced with Soviet 7.62mm DT machine gun, which was in Finnish opinion more reliable.

yet the finnish stugsIII's in CMBB have no MG's at all (IIRC), is that an error or was there a reason for excluding the MG?

just buy 4-6 20 or 25mm aa guns and you should be fine. usually the planes won't return after the first run. They come cheap too so you should have the points for them in most battles you play.

First post on the forum but I'd just like to say that IMO it's VERY important to be able to move your big guns during any fight. My usual fights are either 30 and 40 turns in length and I frequently move my guns during them around. Especially guns like the german 150mm inf gun see a lot of mocvement to keep them in a position to support the advancing infantry.

Furthermore it seems the russians also have a serious lack of vehicles to transport infantry while as seen from the pics and numbers they apparently had plenty of them around.

On that subject... where is the russian equivalent? Was there a russian equivalent? (of the 150mm inf gun).
