I went out to buy the newspaper, came back, had coffee, nothing. I checked the system and it said that the program was not responding. I ended it and tried again. no luck
If its going to take 30 minutes for every turn, that is ridiculous. My grand children will finish the last battle. It takes me two hours to set up at the beginnin of the first turn.

Well I got my new computer. 2.4Ghz, 1GB SDRAM
Still no luck getting "to the Volga" to work.
I tried editing the scenario by redistributing the
German forces through the battles, no luck.
It crashes on the first turn.
Any suggestions?

I had before. Its really great. I was trying to create a bttle arounf the Chancellery and Hitler's Bunker, and I changed some of the buildings and I ruin it and had to trash it.Originally posted by Warlord69:http://ns9.super-hosts.com/~dragonlair.net/combatmission/
Enjoy it, Ben Park has spent a lot of time on it, as you will see when you download. I've been working on turning it into several diffrent battles. A tiny one with the final assault on the Reichstag, a medium one with the Russians trying to cross the Moltke Bridge, and then try and take the Reichstag. And a mega huge one that uses the entire map.
thanks forthe quick response

Dependinig on the size of the battle. I generally look first on 5 then change to 1 or two when I want to see what happens in an specific spot or my main point of attack.
I really enjoy 1 when jumping on a Tank on fast movement on a road, specially those T-34s.
I use 6 to trace vehicle movement on wooded areas.

I am playing the German side. up to turn 35 everything
was going accordying to plan. After some initial tough
resistance on the first hill the Soviets took off
running when the captured T-34 arrived. I am pressing
hard all the way to the outskirsts of the village.
Here the two KV-1 M41 are messing me up. The German
IV are no match. I am trying to outflank them with
the PzKw II but no luck. Two T-34 are already in flames.
The Soviet light tanks are shooting piecemeal my armored
cars.
My t-34 are going up in flames but the Soviets are not ???

I just played this scenario this weekend as the
Germans. Major german victory although in my opinion
I lost to many tanks.

I tried to deploy the 88s one on each side of the road , at the edge of the forest. No luck. Then slightly inside the forest after checking LOS with the two small AT guns. the problem was that by th eitme they were deployed and had rotated the KV1 had knocked them both out.
So my next solution was to rush all my armor at top sped. He can only fire one at a time

My apologies. Next time I will identify the post as spoiler.

after several filed attemps todestroy the KV-1
I finally succeded by hiding my tanks and waiting
for the reinforcements, then rushing all of them
at the same time and trying to sneak a rear shoot.
I lost a few vehicles but some got the the rear of
KV1
This strategy was the only one that worked. When
I waited for the 88s, they took to long to deploy
and usually the KV1 had moved up and would destroy
them before they would set up.
Any other suggestions?

I tried this scenario several times as the Germans. My only
success was by hidding my tanks until the reinforcements arrived and then
rushing all the tanks at the same time at the KV-1
and moving them to its rear and then shooting until they finally destroyed
it.
The 88s took to long to deploy and usually the
KV-1 had moved into position to destroy them before they could set up.
After taking care of the KV-1 it was a walk in the park.

After spending close to two hours positioning my troops to beging the assault on the Tractors Factory, the game crashed before I could start turn 1. When i finally was able to go to turn one, the game was so sluggish when giving orders that I decided to split the orders by first giving orders to the 389th and leaving the 14th Pz for the next turn. Still no luck. the game crashed while the computer player was thinking.
This never happened to me with CMBO and with any of the other battles or operations in CMBB. Has anyone had the same problem. I have Pentium III 1Ghz 128 RAM.
