  1. The Cmbb strategy guide does exist and will be available at the Battlefront.com website any day now. It is currently backordered. They (BAttlefront) recently posted a bibliography on their website also. I would recommend some books to you but I have no idea if you want personal accounts or tactical how to's. Check the tips and tricks forum for a cmbb or cmbo f.a.q.(frequently asked questions). I hope this helps you.

  2. There is a minimum and maximum range for all mortars.

Use the line of sight tool to plot to the trp in question and check the info box at the end of the pointer to see if there is a message stating minimum or maximum range. The Russian 50mm mortar has a relativly short range compared to the larger mortars.

  3. Hi,

I would highly recommend that you stick with 30.82 drivers if that is what you have installed. The 30.87 drivers are so similar in performance that upgrading to them is pointless. If it aint broke don't fix it certainly applies here. smile.gif As far as texture sharpening goes, I do beleive that you are referring to anisotropic filtering. I use a utility program to enable that feature with the 30.82 drivers. I can't remember the name of the program right now, but when I get home I will look up the name and post the link here.

    Hope this helps

  4. Hi,

I too had problems getting cmmos 4.03 to work with cmbo. The ruleset files for cmbo are self executable files that will install the rulesets for you. The cmmos programs will not recognize the rulesets till you run them. Second, the cmbo bitmap zipfiles have to be unzipped into your cmbo\bmp directory. The cmmos program should work with cmbo files after you have done these two things. I hope this helps.

  5. Thanks for the replies everyone. I managed to get fsaa and the anisotropic filtering to work with atuner. I am using 30.82 drivers with win xp pro and a GF3 Ti200. The Graphics look gorgeous.

PS Everyone should try Panzermartin's tank mods. They have to be seen to be believed. This guy should work for BFC. His are the best mods I have seen.

  6. Is there a version of Nvidia detonator Drivers that provides ansiotropic filtering in direct3d and anti-aliasing with out screwing up the 2d text. I use win xp pro. The 30.82 drivers work perfectly for me with anti-aliasing turned on but do not provide the ansiotropic filtering in direct3d. The 40.72 drivers that I have tried provide the ansiotropic filtering that I want, but cause the screwed up text when I turn on anti-aliasing. Any suggestions. I have all the latest mobo and direct x drivers etc

  7. Ottoman,

    Here are my recommendations:

CPU:AMD athlon xp (I use it with no problems)

IMHO don't waste your money on intel.

MOBO:asus a7v8x with usb 2.0 firewire and raid built in. has 333 frontside bus etc got a great reveiw at tomshardware.com

    Mem:Crucial or Kingston 2x512MB ddr 333 or 400

HD:Western Digital Rocks but you'll need 2 or more to utilize the raid.

    Vid:MSI geforce 4 ti 4600 is a great choice.

If you want fog, avoid any non geforce vid cards.

CDRW:lite on makes a great 48x unit thats on sale right now at Newegg.com for 64 bucks shipped.

DVD:your choice again newegg has those for 42 dollars shipped.

Sound:6 channel sound built into mobo.

I don't work for newegg.com. It's just that I have ordered a couple of thousand dollars worth of parts from them and I have always got what I ordered and everything worked out of the box.(not to mention the great pricing.

This setup should last at least two or more years. Also, Antec or Cheiftec make the best cases.

    Hope this helps

  8. Hi,

If you are using the laptop for gaming the majority of the time I would recommend taking a look at alienware's gaming Laptop. In case you never heard of them they are a premium gaming machine maker. They have a very good customer service track record. Their website should be www.alienware.com. If you are going to do more business than gaming I would suggest a Dell Inspiron with the Geforce Graphics.

    Hope this Helped
