[CMAK and The NWE Theatre]

I am aware that CMAK will cover Italy, presumably till wars end ?

So what (in relation to units / terrain) will stop the creation of western front scenarios ?

ie we are not going to get an updated CMBO so will CMAK basically be this anyway ?

I have a problem....

My system seems to be experiencing a massive slowdown at regular intervals for 2-3 seconds.

I have tried all sorts to figure out what it might be to no avail .

I have recently noticed something that seems to be linked to the problem.

If i open the box i can hear a high pitched tone start and stop exactly when this slowdown occurs. If i turn my speakers up loud enough i can also hear it through those (accompanied by what seems to be a sort of chugging noise)

The sound card (SB live 5.1) and graphics card 3d prophet ultra do not share IRQs with anything (Graphics 11 sound 10)

Any one have any ideas at all what this might be as the noise and slowdown are definitely linked somehow ?????

No - its a MS intellimouse explorer usb

This is a brand new system (Only a week old (had to return 19" monitor already so you can imagine this is making me very unhappy))

so the only drivers that have been on this system are hercules / nvida reference.

Not sure really where to go with this now - have spoken to hercules and they are not aware of any ultra card bugs but are escalating my complaint back to H/O in france.

Maybe I'll just send the whole thing back...

Problem is this is sooooooo apparently regular and nothing I have done has made the slightest difference - I feel sure its something wrong with the card.

As far as I know I shut down everything Only explorer running.

I have two usb's one with the mouse another attached to the joystick

Don't know of any software to test this stuff ? graphics card in particular ?

Sound Card = Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1

The information I received was that it was not all ultra cards and not all hercules cards just some.

Believe me I have tried every driver in existence in an attempt to solve this problem to no avail I also have the very latest BIOS for the card.

This is happening in all games not just CM and also 2D applications .

Any info on the sound card problem would be appreciated as I never heard of that.

Am about to have a big row with my system suppliers about this so any help much appreciated.

When playing any game I get a regular huge slowdown for 3-4 seconds every minute or so with my hercules 3d prophet ultra 64mb.

other boards i have visited told me this is a known bug with ultra boards.

anyone else have this problem - know a solution ?????
