I have not played in quite some time.. and I wish to get back to CM again...

What are a modest group of recommended mods that I should apply.. there are so many I don't know where to start.

[Nvidia drivers, best one ?]

My Hardware/System:

Creative Annihilator GeForce2 GTS 32mb.

Asus A7v MB.

Windows 2k.

CURRENTLY RUNNING NVIDIA 6.47 drivers.

I tried to upgrade to the new official Nvidias on the website, 6.50 and I get insane flickering and tearing in CM.

Anyone see this problem ?

Which is the best driver for CM ?

[Mods causing performance issues]

I thought the shortcut might be the problem, but it is not. The issues only happen after a Gfx mod is installed. I have tried several different mods.

take a look at your CD-ROM when loading CM 1.1 with mods... is CM accessing the CD ? when I do not have mods it does not touch the CD at all.

Hello,

I have noticed that after I install any gfx mods, Combat Mission 1.1 will relentlessly hit the CD-ROM while loading a scenario and also during play... This is causing serious performance issues... guess I will stop using mods.

anyone else see this ?

any ideas ?

[ALT-TAB back to windows crash]

each time I try to CTRL-ESC or ALT-TAB back to a windows app when running Combat Mission it crashes..

Setup:

NVidia Geforce2 GTS

Windows 2k

Nvidia detonator 6.47

[Slow hesitating scrolling]

Thank you. Anti-Aliasing surely changes results.

The map I am testing is La Fiere.

My AA settings are at the default 2x2 method.

When I click the Force AA in apps it is worse ( with the hesitation ).

SO if I turn it off or lower it it is much better..

just 1 more question... is this a common thing ?

any suggestion for a better NVIDIA driver, I am using 6.47.

[Unit Under Fire Question.]

HEllo,

When I click on a friendly unit and there are ememy units visible ( and it appears in range ) I will see colored lines from my unit to the enemy.

I typically see, yellow, orange and pinkish-red.

what do these indicate ? ...

I assume they indicate some sort of target effectiveness or something.

HEllo,

I am new to CM. WHen I click on one of my troops and enemy units are in sight, a line may be drawn from my unit to the enemy unit.

I see these are of varying color.

what are all the colors and what do they represent ?

I am running Win2k with GForce2 GTS, AMD Athalon 900... when scrolling around the map is seems to hesitate often, it goes fast, then pauses, then speeds up again..

I dont recall this behavior in the demo..

andy ideas ?
