I would just like to ask if there are any plans to open up the game to pre orders, and if so when. I was quite late getting CMBO but I don't want to miss the boat this time!
BTW I did a search on this topic with no result.

Stowmarket, Suffolk, UK

BTW, my record at TH is so damn poor, I think you'll agree I just like playing the game!

The answer seems to be talk to your opponent before you start the game. At least you can be sure of the sort of game you will have.
-
Outstanding! Could you please send me a copy.
-
I'd like to participate, as Germans or British if possible.

Depends on the armour I'm facing. If I've determined that I'm up against a Churchill VIII or Stuh IV, I'll tread very warily with my PBI. If I'm facing a fairly standard tank with a gun of 75mm, them my plan will remain fairly unaffected, though I'll be trying to get my AT assets to silence him.

Absolutely Not!
It's infantry that wins battles, armour just helps them along.

The episode on Anzio is very good also.

Many thanks guys for your quick replies, I'll be sure to check them all out.

Does anybody know of any decent, fairly well balanced scenarios which would be suitable for PBEM or TCP/IP play? QB's are OK, but can get a little tedious. I did a search and only found an old post which referred to the Nijmagen scenario which shipped with the game. Any help will be graciously accepted.

This thread has come up a couple of times before. From a personal view, the Pacific theatre does not offer the appeal of historic combined arms combat. In fact I don't think I'd be too wide of the mark in saying that most Pacific/Far East battles were mainly infantry affairs.
Don't get me wrong, I think there is a place for a Pacific/Far East CM, but rather this would be better as an add on pack rather than the broad spectrum of combat and terrain encompassed by the war Eastern europe.

Unfortunately at this time of year you are catching the start of the Xmas post. Mine took 2 weeks, so I'd add about a week on top of that.

I'm in the UK, but I'm in for the register.

Try Tournamenthouse.com
They have a CM ladder chock full of 200 potential opponents. Drop me a setup and I'll give you a game.

I'm game, just send me a setup.

Count me in, it sounds pretty interesting.

My, how hasbro continue to destroy the good names they take over. Anybody else here been waiting for years for the multiplay options of B17 2?!!!

Well done Rob for bothering to make the page.
Something to ponder for the knockers of the site, ever thought that Rob might not be English/American? I must admit my French or German spelling isn't up to speed....

You could also try:-
'Grenadier' by Kurt 'Panzer' Meyer for his account of the war from his point of view.
'Hill 112' by Major J.J. How, about some particularly vicious fighting in Normandy.
' Lost Victories' by Erich Von Manstein for a staff view of where the German High Command messed up.
These are a few I recommend, but the list is endless.

Just to add a little 'International' flavour,
1984-present, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
Still going guys.....

33, with plenty of fight left!

I've seen pictures of 'Wiking' Division Panthers with a similar paint scheme, but they were on the Eastern front. The pictures were in 'Panzer Colours 3'

I can confirm the Lynx or 'Luchs' was a Pz II variant. They have an example at Bovington Tank Museum, U.K. I know they have a website, but not sure if they have a pic.
Problems with 8800 GXT and Vista Ultimate 64

I have 2 x 8800 Ultra SLI, QX6800 quad core chip. I've set my machine to dual boot with Win XP Pro and Vista 32 Ultimate. CMBB and CMAK work fine under XP but I get the cascading issue in Vista (but I haven't tried the AA fix yet).
