Good pics folks thx for sharing.

They have planned to release the PC and Mac version at the same time.
However, last minute problems have delayed the Mac version by 6 weeks.
See now that is just mean right there! :0

Had all the originals, and got SF and Marines. Didn't get into them as much, then our household switched to Mac's, and didn't go any further with the modules. So CM:BN coming to Mac has brought me back.

Sybil keeps me pretty busy, so I lurk mostly. Looking forward to returning to WW2.

Testing on Windows XP, Dual Core 6600 @2.4 Ghz with a Nvidia 9800 GT. Smaller maps everything on full detail. No problems at all. Even bigger maps it runs ok
"fingers crossed"...anybody testing on a mac?

Heh... well, it's Afghanistan that is out of the way. We're still working on wrapping up NATO, though it won't be much longer.
Normandy will likely ship for the Mac on the same day as the PC. Other plans for the Mac are not yet fit for consumer consumption

Glad to hear about the Mac versions, looking forward to it. Thx

I just wanted to say thanks for this Battlefront. I got the 2 rural maps and the terrain downloads with no issues.

Congrats, and good luck. I did the 11B thing, did basic at Knox and Infantry at Benning...good times...good times;) Seriously though thanks for your service.

I had the same problem, running a 8800 card and Vista Home in 64 bit. After going through the forum the only suggestion I found that seems to work is disabling antialiasing. So I ran the graphics up to max and so far so good. And for me anyway the difference in image quality is minimal.

Just an update. I to have a new laptop with the 8800 card and Vista Home 64. With CMAK (I don't have CMBB or CMBO installed) my cascading problem was fixed with the antialiasing override that Commander Z brought to the discussion on page 2 of this thread...good find, works great now. Thanks

I'm hoping for an updated demo someday to see all the improvements of the patches.

Is Bergerbitz drunk again? Well not much else to do while we wait I guess.

Been following the progress of TOW, and was wondering if there is any chance we might get an updated demo to show off some of the improvements? Thanks

As mentioned try the demo. I did and bought the game. There are some user made scenarios popping up also. I think you'll enjoy it.

I've noticed this to. Why do they do that?Originally posted by Joabru:Why do my tanks rotate all the time? I've set them behind a hill looking at the bridge, anything crosses and I'll hit em. Problem is they keep wanting to rotate and face the hill once action starts. Why? they cant shoot thru the hill it's daft. Even if they could 'My' order should be above all otherwise you've lost the players trust. I want them to face they way I set.

Very good looking game. Thx for the pics all.

All good suggestions, and I agree on the infantry thing. Just from playing the demo I could see this is really more suited for smaller unit actions, at least for me.

I've only played the demo, but knowing the work that the folks at 1C put into damage and ballistics, etc. on IL2 I would think that they did it up pretty good here also. And from what Bioseed has posted this seems to be the case. Is it enough for the hard core amongst us...I have no idea! :cool:Originally posted by Bioseed:I just took another look at the TOW manual, and it seems to give an official word on the matter:
Damage Calculations
The following factors are taken into consideration in the game whenever
damage is calculated for various types of objects: ballistics (every
weapon in the game has its own ballistics parameters), hit angles, armor at
the hit location, shell inertia, high-explosive effect, detonation, blast pressure
wave, secondary effects, ricochets, anti-HEAT screens, ammo detonation,
and inflammation. The following systems may be disabled:
o Chassis:
o Transmission;
o Engine;
o Wheel or tracks
o Turret;
o Guns;
o Machine guns;
o Crew

All I'll say is I'm so glad I waited for the demo. Back to waiting for CMSF and playing CM in the meantime.
