[How to fix the (0xc0000135) error!]

I'm assuming the same is still true with the 3.0 release of the .NET framework, yes? Having 1.1 installed is the key, unless the game has been upgraded to support the newer versions by now.

No, it's not another application problem, I get the same behaviour no matter what is running in conjunction with the demo. However, changing the DirectX ini setting so that it doesn't use it *does* fix the problem. Thanks!

I'm having a strange problem with the demo and I'm wondering if the same thing would happen with the full release and if there is anything I can do about it. What happens is this - any time the game needs to open a new window or move from screen to screen (as when starting a new game), there is a pause and I see a black screen for a second or two (seems like a mode switch is going on). This happens *every* time, even if all the game is doing is popping up a message box about something. System:

P4 2.53GHz with 512MB, running XP Home SP1

GeForce4 Ti4600 with 40.72 Detonators

Desktop at 1280x1024, 32bit color

Any ideas? I've tried setting my desktop to 1024x768 but that didn't help.

Pushing 45, married for the second time, 18 year old daughter just graduated from high school, living with three dogs, a cat, two ferrets and a wife who wouldn't touch a wargame but holds her own in anything Quake-like. First wargame - Panzerblitz. CM is breaking a long dry spell for me, can't wait for the full release.

Was just curious if the pre-order price of $45 will change once the game is available? In other words, is this a 'special deal' cuz the price will go up when the game is released? Seems like this is the way a lot of pre-orders are handled. Thanks.
