    • Can not detect mines until you step/drive over them.
    • Mines can be placed anywhere.
    • Once found (the hard way) engineers can "mark" the field. IEDs usually can not be detected. The trigger man maybe.
    • At this point, until BFC gets engineering vehicles or sweepers working (or more folks complain about the lack of), you might as well just wait until you hit them then react

    Your tuggin on this har Gunny's heart strings. It makes me love this country even more seeing someone willing to serve her even in these trying times. Knowing that we have people that are still willing to put it on the line to serve. Makes me proud. You'll do fine, you've got a good head on your shoulders from what this community has seen. The Army is gonna get a fine Soldier and we all get a fine citizen in return. I'd go to "the Pit" with you anyday.

  3. Any opinion Huntarr? Feel free to tell me why it won't work.

    I'd love to see something like that roll through the DOD contractors. NLOS is the first thing I can think of off hand with a FCS that might be convertible.

    Why it won't work is the Navy won't pay for it. :rolleyes:

    We've got most of our eggs in this basket. EFV link, which I think is a much better investment. The systems on this little beauty are better all around than the AAV7's.

    • MK46 Weapon System.
    • MK44 30/40mm High Velocity Cannon and 7.62mm Coax.
    • Fully Stabilized, Digital Fire Control, Thermal Sight.
    • Accurate firing on-the-move at stationary or moving targets.
    • Provides all-weather/all-night lethality with 30mm MK-44 automatic gun as well as a 7.62 COAX machine gun); Laser Range Finder and FLIR.
    • 90% Probability Hit at 1200 Meters.

  4. Until the C2 gets completely squared away and/or much more useful, I see no reason to add command delays to either WEGO or RT. The C2 network, if properly implemented, could be the solution to alot of the command delay questions. I certainly don't see any reason to add another artifical limitation to WEGO. Since it is the exact same game as RT. With the exception you have a set 60 minute "delay" built in. The bonus to WEGO is you have replay.

    If we were to add a command delay to WEGO and not to RT, that would probably be the last time I would play WEGO and since I only play/test WEGO well.....

  5. It does work for them, you can test that by giving them an area fire and not waiting to aquire the target.

    My personal opinion is that the CAAT TOW Humvee are rather blind. Unless more people notice that BFC won't have it as an issue. It also should be harder to spot than say an M1. ;)

    • Place Movement command 2 action spaces from the wall
    • Place BLAST command 1 action space from wall(adjacent). Making it 90 degrees perpendicular to the wall.

    The unit will hide then blast the wall, then move close for cover and give itself a face command without going thru it. Leaving a nice big hole for your Assault teams to charge thru. oOOHRAH!

  6. Bodkin, hang in there. You'll get it, it is simple. At the final destination give the unit a TARGET ARC or FACE command. Not a CLEAR TARGET. CLEAR TARGET is not a command that can be placed at a waypoint.

    TARGET ARC 2i7n19w.jpg or FACE jzy9og.jpg commands will break/end/cancel any previous TARGET command.

    Go back and look at the 1st image of the thread, you'll see I used TARGET ARC to cancel the TARGET command.

    This new image used a FACE to cancel the TARGET command.

    1. QUICK command to position you want to fire from.
    2. Select the waypoint at the firing position. Give PAUSE 15sec command. Set TARGET command on to the target you want to hit.
    3. REVERSE command to position you want to back up to.
    4. Select the waypoint at the final destination. Give FACE command to direction you want the unit to face.
