Guest bloodstar
Engine: Current SC2/WAW Synopsis: 80's Conflict Between NATO and the Warsaw Pact Design Summary: You'd have a map of Germany, the low countries, part of France, Austria, and bits of the various Warsaw Pact Countries. Conceptually you have similar units (with a few extras tossed in) at a Division/Brigade level. Each unit would be manually linked to a single HQ with the ability to change HQ either limited or removed. I don't see any real issues with porting the game over, in fact I'd suspect the most difficult part to model would be tactical nuclear weapons/chemical warfare. Winning and losing would be based on the results after a specific number of turns. Problem #1: Modeling Tactical nuclear weapons/chemical warfare. you'd pick the location to be hit, no interception, and a limited number of strikes per turn, damage is applied to the location (and if the hex is small enough, the adjacent areas as well) and units remaining in the area suffer damage and reduced combat effectiveness. Note: the concept is based on a VG cardboard cutout game called NATO: The Next War in Europe http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/2079
