  1. Do you really believe your strategy of selling addons for 55 Dollars and making people pay for patches (because let's face it, your great "improvements" are no more than that) will pay off? Take a look at your pathetic MP experience - wake up! It's not 1996 anymore... Getting any better? No? Meh... But heck, expecting your fans to dish out 50 bucks non the less! Oh wait - MP may be in it for CM 3.0 - for another 50$. Lol. You have lost me as customer. And fan. Sorry to say but you are traveling down the wrong road... Building communities works differently. GL to you gentlemen, but you no longer deserve my time or money.
  2. I really love this game - but I must say it has one flaw that totally kills my rating: The absence of a decent lobby system. As someone else on this forum put it "we aren't in the Nineties any longer". For guys like us, who have been computer gaming since it was invented, it is just old-school. For newer fans it will probably mean the end of their interest in this series. Really to bad... I would love to log on, have a match or two and go to bed, fit for Monday morning. Well I guess I will do just that, except for the game part *Shakes his head and goes play Shogun 2*
  3. Guys, I do understand the need to make money from your work - after all that's the purpose of a company. But don't you think that you are slightly overdoing it by announcing an Addon as Gold Version and then charging an extra 25 dollars for it - not the complete version but actually only the addon? Do you really expect to sell lots of units for a combined price of 70 USD? And on top for a game which has been around in it's basic version as SC2 for several years? It's up to you - but honestly this is the most oldschool way of milking the cow I have ever come across. To tell you the truth: In a time where high production value products are brought on the market for free, accessible in the browser, featuring all sorts of multiplayer modes, don't you feel you are lagging behind somewhat? Have you considered how many players (and payers) you would have if you'd release your games as f2p or MMO games on the web? Globally - with a working matchmaking system? All of a sudden a niche would not be a niche anymore and you wouldn't need to be afraid of not being able to earn a penny for all your, actually outstanding, game design work. Just my 2 cents - for what it's worth. All I can do is offer you some help - so just drop me a line if you favor some advice from a person who has created online games making millions in months. GL and keep it up... Nick
