@" Schmoly War" Glad to see someone else is up on their Chechen War history. I agree and think both Chechen Wars would make an excellent follow up to Afghanistan. You could easily include Abkhazia & Georgia scenarios in the same game (as well as the invasion of Daghastan). The Caucuses region is full of good gaming potential!

What other post-WWII conflicts (real or hypothetical) due you think would work well for the Combat Mission/Shock Force? I have already suggested "Chechnya" in another thread. Vietnam might be interesting as well. As for hypothetical scenarios, Russia vrs. China might be fun as would Nato vrs. Iran Any thoughts?

I think Chechnya would be a great match for the "Combat Mission" game system.

Anyone think if "Afghanistan" is a success we might see a "Chechnya" module as an expansion?

Brand new to the forum and sorry if this is old ground recovered. I saw on the original Afghanistan release post that the game was due out in Q2 of this year. Any new news on a release date? I'm all for keeping it in the oven a little longer and making sure it comes out fully cooked! It looks outstanding by the way. Cant wait to play. Fingers crossed Combat Mission Chechnya will be out next year! Cheers.
