  1. I figured it out. I had to install the game to the C drive directly, and avoid the program file folders all together. I'm using windows 7. All is well in the land of Strategic Command, you can now go back to assaulting Berlin. Thank you
  2. I believe I posted this question some time ago, but I forgot the answer. I'm attempting to mod a scenario in WWII Gold, but when I "save as" and name the file, I can't find it in my program files, and when I open the editor there is a lock icon to the left of the campaign name. I'm sure there is a simple fix.
  3. but I'm trying to create mod, and I "save as" and name my new campaign, but when I try to open there is a padlock symbol to the left of the campaign name, and the editor allows me to open it up, but when I look for the cgn. file or folder, I can't find it. There seems to be a compatibility issue. Has anyone encountered this issue before? thanks
  4. Hubert thanks for the help, but I don't think the resource script will work. After reading through the instructions it seems you can only start up a resource at a particular date, not destroy a resource at a particular date. Unless I'm reading it wrong...
  5. Well I've been fooling around, and I've managed to get the strength script working the way I want. Basically, if Iran takes Jerusalem, Israel retaliates and launches the Samson option and devastates friendly and enemy troops with nuclear weapons. I also want selected cities to lose their strength for a time, but not for the the whole game. Also, is it possible to have a country that is not active (Russia) lose resource strength in Moscow? I want the Samson Option to also devastate Moscow even though they have not joined the war. Here is my supply script that failed to work... { #NAME= Samson Option #POPUP= Nuclear Devastation! #IMAGE= #SOUND= #FLAG= 1 #TYPE= 2 #AI= 0 #LEVEL= 0 Set global variable condition to always trigger (dummy value) #GV= 1[1,100] Set link value to always trigger (dummy value) #LINK= 0[0] #COUNTRY_ID= 29 #FLAG_ID= 29 #TRIGGER= 100 #SEASON_FLAG= 0 #DATE= 2013/01/01 Set variable conditions: 1st Line - Israel politically aligned with the Allies and surrendered #VARIABLE_CONDITION= 29 [2] [100] [1] Troops in Jerusalem (dummy value) #SOURCE_POSITION= 0,0 [0] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 101,23 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 98,29 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 99,31 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 108,31 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 112,26 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 113,23 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 119,28 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 103,28 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 107,26 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 108,29 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 80,30 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 103,10 [5,10] #DESTINATION_RESOURCE= 102,26 [5,10] }
  6. Thanks all, I'll fool around and see what I can come up with.
  7. have an event reduce a city's mpp's/strength to zero for the remainder of a campaign? Let's say country (a) takes country ('s city, and when this happens country ( decides to launch all their nukes to destroy cities all over the map. I want all these cities to remain at zero for the rest of the game. Is this possible? thank you
  8. You should be able to do it no problem, just open up a campaign, change the date, then "save as" whatever you choose, and bingo WW II lasts until 2011.
  9. Hubert, Thanks for research, I'll check the link out. I am running Windows 7 as you guessed, much better than vista!
  10. checked it again, when I save a camapaign to edit, I can't find the folder anywhere, and when I pull it up on the editor it has a "lock" symbol next to the campaign...what the heck?
  11. I had the same problem with the editor, but I'm able to open it now with the fix, but I'm confused...I save a mod as a test, but I can't find it's folder now. It's not in the campaign folder, and when I open it from the editor or the game, there is a litte lock symbol. Does anyone know where my folder ran to? thanks
  12. hopefully the patch will be out too, before you finish
  13. Libya's flag is the easiest to mod, just paint it green. CIA.gov is a great source for flags. One of your sprites looks like a bulldozer, if so that's a great choice for engineers.
