  1. CMx2 engine is very broken. It looks good, yes, but the 1to1 mechanic is years behind new Close Combat releases.
  2. I know it is "too much work for such a little effort" and this would require to rise CM:BN price from 60$ to 75$ and releasing 5$ path but I really miss this feature in CMx2. I Just dont like having 1to1 representation and anonymous soldiers. Even Sean O'Connor's - Firefight has soldiers monitor. Just my humble opinion.
  3. No thanks, I'm not a good scenarios maker. I will save my 60$+ and play Close Combat while waiting for new Achtung Panzer. RIGHT?
  4. Thats very controversial in my opinion. Also no gliders and paratroopers? What about flooded fields? So it is a game about Normandy without Normandy? I know there were no beaches in CMx1 but this game was about whole Western front.
  5. Personaly I cant imagine a wargame set in Normandy without a proper beach landing scenarios. It would be like creating Ardennes game without Bastogne, Stalingrad without Volga. So are they in CM:BN?
  6. The most hardest and importatnt thing in 1:1 is a collective(mass) AI. I would say this is the main core of properly done 1:1. Sadly nobody done it properly yet in any kind of game. So you must have god-like programers if you want do this well. One of the most hardest thing in this AI is advanced mass patch tracing. The second is "share in situation" issue. Sadly CMx1 doesnt have this... Will CMx2?
  7. I alway thought that a 1:1 reprsentation is too complicated now. Especialy when battlefield is very mass and gameplay is real time. Are you developing your own AI or just licensed code like AI.Implant?
  8. Bye, Bye, BFC Don't Develop Long I Worry About You Until You've Done I think of you in my dreams You never know, just what you mean, to me To me (cmon, everybody!) Doo ba badda Doo ba badda Doo ba badda Doo ba badda (original text by Ivy )
  9. Eric Young Squad Assault 2 also is coming: sa2ndwave.com Do you think they finaly patched crappy engine? I'm little worry about BFC. 1:1 represtation in 3d wargame bury every developer (GI Combat, Squad Assault, WW2 RTS, Officers that seems to be more RTS than wargame (mea culpa)). Only old ass CC engine somehow handle 1:1 with its limitations. Good luck BFC.
  10. LoL, wrong game buddy officers-game.com [ July 13, 2005, 03:53 AM: Message edited by: Moon ]
  11. " Please come back when you know what you are talking about. Tag" LOL, I'm playing CM since 2002 Close Combat: Red Phonix should be wargame (not FPP or health bar RTS) as realistic as is possible. CSO(the biggest CC clan) is helping in development. So you are wrong yet. Officers also is a wargame, no health bars and no other "Red alert's rts things".Huge, 20 km x 20km maps. I think it will be even more deep than CM with its "rpg system". But we will see.
  12. We will se how realistic this games will be. But if you still the only we should pray everyday for Matt. Edit: pray for whole BFC cheers [ July 12, 2005, 10:48 AM: Message edited by: inff ]
  13. Yes, there will be, fully 3d, future warfare USA vs Korea (2006) , completly new engine, based on novel: Red Phoenix. CSO is also working on it. closecombat.com/future/future.html [MOON: URL edited] [ July 12, 2005, 06:43 AM: Message edited by: Moon ]
