Hi guys, I’m wondering how the lines of command worked during WW2, in particular on company scale. How did the platoons respond to the loss of the company HQ? Did someone took over command to re-establish the chain of command with the battalion HQ, or did the platoons simply executed orders they received at the start of the battle? Thanks in advance.
