GerryCMBB Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Hello: Any else have the text for each objective show up twice? Thanks, Gerry 0 Quote
SteveP Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 IIRC, the designers designated those locations as landmarks as well as objectives, so when both landmarks and objectives are turned on (made visible on the map) you get the same names twice. 0 Quote
GerryCMBB Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Hello Steve: It doesn't seem to work like that. Even with Landmarks off, 2 of the 3 objectives still have text displaying twice. Not a big deal. I am getting old so it could be operator error! Gerry 0 Quote
mjkerner Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Yes, in several scenarios, including some of my own made for "home use". I have no idea why this occurs. 0 Quote
George MC Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I've not looked at the scenario but it is possible the designer has given the same objective differant 'win' characteristics i.e. one part is 'occupy' and the seocnd objective is 'preserve' say. That would have the text show up twice on the objective. 0 Quote
ASL Veteran Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Yeah, this typically happens if the objective is good for both sides and viewable by both sides. If the objective for the German isn't painted exactly the same size as the objective for the American then the name of the objective will not overlap perfectly and you get the double script since the name is slightly offset from one side to the other. 0 Quote
xian Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Oh - I'm glad you cleared that up. I thought they were both considered to be objective zones with the more distant one giving you a higher reward. That's why I put my troops on the overlap. Double points for me i thought... your answer makes much more sense. 0 Quote
