Armchair_Ranger
Okay, what the heck is going on here? I just bought a brand new Windows 7 gaming machine, all my games are running smoothly, but CMSF won't even START! It's installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlefront\Combat Mission Shock Force.
Magpie_Oz
Try run as administrator or in compatibility mode? Is the User Account Control turned off?
Armchair_Ranger
Yeah, i had to run as admin just during the first launch. Everything works now. Never happened in my old XP machine and I was under the impression that I was the admin on the new Win7 machine. It even says so on my user profile.
Magpie_Oz
Sure but the security is much tighter on Win7 even when you think you have everything generally authorised there are still some things that you need to specifically authorise. I guess the program had to make some changes to your system in the first run and so you had to run admin to let it make them. Good to see you have it up and running.
