Waaarg
Is anyone buying re-supply vehicles for long battles? If so, what is the best one to get for Allies and Germans? And which vehicles have AT equipment/ammo and which vehicles have Heavy weapon ammo to acquire on both sides? PS: For new players a great way to re-supply is to break off a scout team to run and get ammo. Have the scouts high-tail it back to a vehicle, get in, order them to acquire, load them up with ammo and if available AT equipment. Dismount and re-join the squad. Worked great in SF. With ammo sharing, I assume using infantry squads to re-supply weapon teams still works as well with the above tactic.
Echo
I was looking for some of these in a setup once. I think for heavy ammo like mortars and AT rounds, one has to buy a formation with the trucks as organic units, they aren't available individually. Real pity. Regular trucks that can be bought have just small arms ammo. Opel Blitz and 2.5 ton are the only 2 in game I think. Now get busy and fire me our next turn. womble
I think all the american half-tracks I've seen have a 'zook and some rounds, if you want Infantry AT. Haven't seen anything other than the M4/M21 tracks carrying extra mortar rounds yet. Surely units would try (and occasionally, at least, succeed) and hoard rounds for their support weapons in case of supply issues or great need... Though equally, the 60mm is so useful, it'll get fired dry in every encounter with the enemy...
Gazmaps
Ive tried a few differant options and none of them seem to provide extra heavy weapons ammo. Ive purchased the formations but that doesnt seem to provide extra heavy weapons Ammo (Mtrs and AT / Inf Guns). This includes the ammo bearers and vehicles if you purchase vehicles in a formation. Vehicles purchased in a formation do seem to supply 9mm and 7.62mm rounds; this includes the Kubewagon, H/T and Opel. I havent tried anything for the US forces yet so only familiar with the Germman. - Would be geat if thi could be added as an option in the Quick Battle Unit selection panel. I think it is available in the scenario editor though. PS. H/T also provide 1 x PanzerFaust as well
Dadekster88
Same here, be nice if you could specify what the support vehicles would carry in them to a point.
Speedy
Have to make a QB just with all the trucks and see what's in each.

I agree, as it took me a long time to find an Opel with mortar rounds... Armored Infantry-Escort Platoon, unit level 2 Opel's have 30 rd 81mm HE and 6 rd 81mm smoke... which your Mortar Ammo Bearer can Aquire if he mounts the truck... More flexability in ammo supply/quantity, such as placement in bunkers or buildings would be nice...
