Speedy
5 I presume. Or possibly 1,2 or 3 if you are the one hosting.
Dragotin
There is no online matchmaking system inherent in the game. You must make friends on your own! EDIT: Oops, not quite right. Create a battle, and choose INTERNET/LAN from the dropdown menu after you choose your force side (German/American), if you are hosting. If someone else is hosting, choose Join a Network Gam and you will need the host's IP address, I believe.
Johnny Canuck
I believe this is all mentioned in pages 56+ in the manual. That being said, if you're initiating the game, it's all under 'Quick Battle'. If you're going back and forth with PBEM games, see Saved Games. You need to save his incoming files in your 'Game Files\Incoming Email' folder, and copy yours to him from your 'Game Files\Outgoing Email' folder. If you're joining up another player who has initiated network play, try Join Network Game. There's a lot of work to make this successful. Router config, external IP's, port forwarding, etc. Finally, BF doesn't make it easy to play over the Internet - - at all. I assume adding this capability would have added another 6 months to the development time. For PBEM, I copy the save games to my Dropbox public folder and send my opponent a link to it. Works like a charm and keeps my email from getting hammered.

Campaigns cannot be played with two. Option 5) is only when you join a TCP/IP game. Hope this helps.
