Well Okay, we got Xo teams and HQ support units that doesn't do much except a stand-in if the Co dies. Normally I use them as medics after the infantry platoons moving forward.

I know BFC don't want to move to deep into "buddy-aid" and the medical evacuation line, but I was thinking (and wishing...)

How about medic/stretcher bearer teams? Just like Xo teams exept they run around with medic equipment, red crosses on the helmet and a stretcher in their hand? they perform buddy aid as everyone else but are designated to do so.

The buddy-aid system would work as usual, when the casualty are taken care of he disaperes and the medic team can move on.

Pretty please? :)

I think this is what we're supposed to assume is happening when the wounded man disappears for the battlefield after buddy aid is over -- soldiers in the immediate vicinity do the initial stabilization, and someone calls for Medic/Stretcher team. Then, a minute or two later, the medics show up, and the regular soldier go back to fighting.

Granted, it would be nice to have the eye candy of actual teams with the red cross insignias running around, but it's a pretty low priority for me. Lots of other non-essential stuff that I'd put well ahead of this on "the list" (tank riding & fire, to cite a couple).

This^^^

The addition of stretcher teams would be...interesting. Who'd be the first to mod his line infantry to have red-cross armbands so his opponent wouldn't shoot at them? ;) Gamey bastiches.
