IanM
I have read many posts about the incompatibilty of the CM series with OSX, so I don't need the same technical reasons repeated again... ..but, has *anything* changed with the release of 10.4 Tiger?

IanM
Thought that would be the answer - but I had to ask because I'm upgrading soon

Wicky
Are you you using the 'Startup Disk' in System Prefs to reboot OS9 system or are you trying to play in 9 'classic' emulation? CMBB and CMAK will only run in OS9 booted from its system folder. Early e-macs should boot OK into 9 but IIRC more recent models won't - and only allow 9 to run within OSX as 'classic'. Pzman
If you have a new eMac (made this year) its unlikely that you can boot in OS9x natively. That said, if you have a full install of OS 9.2.1 or later (if your Mac is able to do so) it should show up in the startup preferences. If it does not then you cannot run OS9 without classic running.
