ShooterSix
I have quite a beefy system: Win 7 64 AMD Hexacore Processor each core @ 4Ghz 8 gig ram Radeon 5870 2gb I average around 20-30 FPS on medium-high settings. Much lower in heavy combat. Sometimes the game will freeze for several seconds if a fighter is strafing a ground target, or a unit surrenders. I have the latest drivers, and can play just about every other game on absolute MAX. I read about changing my CPU settings in game.ini to 1 instead of 0? Only thing, this line does not appear in my file. Only this appears: ;INI File: Users/game.ini [Compatibility] CleanMissionCache=1 CleanLandscapeCache=1 CleanNodeMap=1 LoweringDetail=1 Also, EAX is disabled. Compatibility mode doesn't seem to make a difference.
Sneaksie
I recall someone on Steam forums had problems with a 6-core AMD CPU, setting the game process (Korea.bin) affinity to 2 cores helped.
ShooterSix
Thank you for the response. Unfortunatley, this did not help. It says you are from development. Can you say if IC is working on a patch that could improve performance?
Rosseau
It is bizarre, and I feel for the OP and 1C. I have a relatively crappy Dell Quad core 2.6, 3 gigs ram and a retrofitted ATI 4650 and power supply. The darn game isn't lightening quick, but runs well enough for me. I am running XP, and read on these forums about a benchmark showing XP performing better than Vista or 7. I have never had a "freeze" like you, but will report it if I do. Best of luck with it. How does Kursk perform for you, assuming you have it?

ShooterSix
Performance is on par with Kursk. I enabled triple buffering, this seems to have helped.
