user38
I'm posting from an undisclosed location in Australia (have to update my profile). They haven't censored the internet here yet but it is on our government's to do list.

gunnersman
Does that trooper getting out of the greyhound have a backpack on? That's not right is it?

user38
Does that trooper getting out of the greyhound have a backpack on? That's not right is it? You can see he has an entrenching tool. Given his ride has recently been blown up I can only assume he is leaping into action to do his duty as a soldier, as I discussed in this post here: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?p=1238050#post1238050
TheVulture
Does that trooper getting out of the greyhound have a backpack on? That's not right is it? By comparison with the greyhound on the right of the picture, I'd guess it is the vehicle MG that just happens to be aligned to look a bit like a backpack.
The Instigator
I sure hope all those pretty pansies don't get burned!
user38
Yea, I think a few hundred other people might have mentioned this, but CMBfN is exceedingly pretty: are you sure this is a wargame? (Will there be an option to play it in VGA resolution from a top down perspective?)
~Viajero
Thanks Bil Kane, Not sure if you got an answer already. This might help: http://www.ditii.com/2011/03/06/imageshack-serving-frozen-frog-blocking-certain-countries/ It seems the issue is on Imageshack side, they ve banned most IP addresses other than US, Canada and Europe. Weird and bold move by them that is preventing many users around the world from seeing the pics... this may force many of those users to either go somewhere else for their pics or register!
MikeyD
About the crew abandoning with backpacks. That's an M20 troop carrier, you're seeing 'passengers' abandoning, not crew.
The_Capt
Ok, Bil has been prodding me to write up something on First Contact. To be honest from my POV his tanks popped up pretty much where expected, like him I was concerned about my right flank. I had all my armour on AA2 at this point but as we made contact I shifted all but two of my M10s to AA3 where I saw at least 3-4 PZ IVs and suspected I had already killed one. I left 2 x M10s on AA2 in hull down positions to cover his approach on my right side. My plan at this point was to close and engage the tanks to my front. My infantry were still plodding thru the trees at this point.
Nort
About the crew abandoning with backpacks. That's an M20 troop carrier, you're seeing 'passengers' abandoning, not crew. That makes sense. If they were Greyhounds, there would be turrets with 37mm guns.
user38
Have you guys already finished this battle or is this QB still in progress?
Sivodsi
Yeah, in Sth Korea we only get the froggie, but if I right click on it (in firefox) and select 'view image' it rather annoyingly opens up the image only in my screen. But if I then backspace, the image shows up in text as it should. This only works if I'm signed into imageshack, mind. Unfortunately I have to repeat this procedure for every picture on the page. So yeah, I too would appreciate an alternative to the once oh-so-favored imageshack.

Bil Hardenberger
How does this work for everyone:
PaulMG
Works for me. Also on the comments about the trees not fitting for Normandy, the shots remind me of the later campaigns http://www.history.army.mil/books/wwii/lorraine/lorraine-ch02.html#b1 While we wait for the modules, why not play on maps that look like other areas?

Michael Emrys
I'm going to look into the crew weaponry a bit and make sure it's balanced a bit better. In general all armored vehicles had access to at least one SMG. Heck, even up until the 1990s US Abrams had M3s strapped into their turrets. ISTR reading that they also could have a carbine or two. Or did I just imagine that? Michael
Michael Emrys
I'm on XP with Safari and the original pics are fine. The thumbnails are not clickable to something larger though. I am using the latest version of Safari on the latest version of Mac OS X and that is my experience too. The originals look fine, the thumbnails don't enlarge. James Crowley
The vehicle stats for the Mk IVs is indicating red in the 'Power' slot. What does that mean? - the Mk IV wasn't underpowered; if it was, then what would the Tiger II or Jagdtiger, for instance, show?
