kievpapa Posted February 23, 2001 Share Posted February 23, 2001 I have a sound problem in CM. Sounds worked fine until about 3 days ago. No sound in intro movie (but when playing throught windows player there are sounds), there are sounds in menu, but when the game starts, about 20 seconds into scenario sounds just quit working. Sounds turned on in the game. I reinstalled original game - still no sounds, aplyied patches 1.1 and 1.12 still no sounds. Reinstalled sound card drivers still no sounds. Schrullenhaft Posted February 24, 2001 Share Posted February 24, 2001 It's strange that you would have sound initially and then it would go away during a scenario. I'd suggest removing all of your audio drivers (preferably in Safe Mode). Reinstalling DirectX 7.0a or 8.0a and then reinstalling your audio drivers again. What sound card do you have (or what chipset is it based on) ? What Windows version are you running ? Do you know if your sound card and video card are sharing the same IRQ (if you have an ISA bus sound card - like a SoundBlaster 16 - this won't be an issue) ? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
